More ways to acquire Silvervine ingame

WP asked for suggestions regarding the Silvervine system months ago but nothing ever came of it, so... Let's revive that discussion, shall we?

I'd love to see more ways than just killing minibosses to get SV ingame, especially to make them more accessible to newer players who can't afford them with KP or zeny yet, so I'd like to gather some ideas.

My suggestion is this:

Do kill quests for different level brackets, with a small selection of monsters appropriate for those levels and different classes (e.g. an undead option for acos to healbomb). Have the player hunt x number of said monster (my suggestion would be something like 50 or 100) and give x amount of Silvervine as a reward.
Put a 24h cooldown on the quest to balance it. Maybe make it so you reach the monthly SV limit if you do the quest every day.

Might even choose monsters for the given brackets that are doable alone, but quite hard; to encourage partying.

Tl;dr: basically do something similar to the Eden leveling quests, but with longer cooldowns and SV instead of exp as the reward.

Please post any other suggestions you have, even if they've been posted in the past <3

good suggestion. I still would like to add to consider ,that you might not want to be it too grindy or too pve focused since some characters have problems with these kind of quest than others. Priest would be a good example for this.

Yeah, I'm not quite sure how the healbomb option would work in higher brackets... But then, you can always party and share quest kills that way?

Optionally, some kind of item gathering quest, maybe?

The party option would help i guess ,but still it put priests in a akward spot where they have to rely on others even more than the already do ,while others are more like "uhh little poor priest...yes you can come along... euhm there this corner just stand there.... nahh we dont need you ...but you are still adoreable "... ... ok ...that sounded a little bit more salty than intended ... and item grind suffer the same fate.  If you could manage an option where you absolutly have to party ,that might be a good thing though and work out well, that will quite be a task if you ask me.

problem with low level monsters is bots will just do the quest and sell kafra shop items. I think that's the reason it's mini-boss only in the first place.

Believe me, I know the struggle - I main a priest XD

You're right though, (FS) priests are quite hard to accommodate for kill quests... What's the hardest monster that's still viable to healbomb? I can't think of anything past Evil Druid or Wraith, off the top of my head.

True. I wonder if there is a way to make the items traded in with quest SV untradable, but that's complicating matters a lot.

yeah pretty much ... everything above that would be ancient mummy or anubis... ... not really healbomb material

Someone posted this a while back but awarding certain amount of Silvervine when finishing many of the story quests would be pretty neat. There are some legitimately well written quests in RO that I suspect many haven't done. Most of them have a level requirement of 70ish so it would be hard to abuse.

 

Curse of Gaebolg, Poison King Quest, etc. There are so many of them.
