I have a couple of suggestions in order to implement fast, efficient and also non-intrusive anti-bot solutions.

1. Adding Additional Novice Grounds Dialogues

This one is very simple, the Grampa NPC that gives you the little exam on scamming can be changed to add one question where you have to fill-in.
The script is very simple, you make it so that "CorrectAnswer=CharacterName" that way human players can just fill in their names, whereas automated bots will be temporary disabled and will be stuck at the 1st map of the novice grounds.

This permits you to efficiently filter out the ZennySpammers for a while since they will not be able to recreate a novie and warp to Prontera.

P.S: Its funny as hell that they are using name generators to bypass the gribberish filter

2. Editing Some of the Map's GRFs
Including custom training grounds maps and towns such as an exact replica but with a different .grf will definitely disable all bots until they can dissassemble the .grf and start to realize that the .grf files were tampered with. This will essentially disable all low-entry/beginner level botters and will put pressure and work on intermediate botters to pull their resources together to re-enable mass botting.

3. Having a Right-click Report Player Button (Come'on its one line of script)
Do you know that we could simply have a right-click report player button, that way you could enable a lot of the server's human population that doesn't register on the forums to participate in reporting. Moreover you should be aware that botters constantly monitor the BOT REPORT THREAD to cover themselves. So having an in-game reporting system would essentially prevent them from spying upon reports and thus meddling with the GM Affairs.

Lastly, these solutions are easily implementable and doesn't require an anti-bot shield.. (Money Saved?)

I support this. The community want an action even if it's small, against the bots.

I studied the code for the bot program "that can't be named" that everyone uses and your solution would be bypassed within hours but would take the GM days to implements.

Plus WarpPortal seems to have very little control over what they can do with the code, so we're pretty  much at the mercy of kRO at this points which has like months of turn around time. It's sad, but it's the reality of things.

Navy while I do agree with you that someone with basic computer knowledge can easily bypass those solutions, we have to take into account that the majority of the botters are just copy-pasting the better one's config

I fully agree with Zolpidem, we keep providing solutions, bot reports and discussing on the forums. Its fairly depressing to see the same bots in the same location for several weeks and no actions being taken. Tickets sent only seem to be responded when the user goes on the forum and rants about it.

There is a general feeling that no action is being taken versus bots, while the server population has decreased from 6k to 3k (with a lot of them being banned bots), we are still waiting on an anti-botting solution such as shield being announced.

I don't think WP need's kRO approval to deal with anti-botting measures since it usually means contracting a third parties anti-hack provider. Maybe you could create a kickstarter so we can fund it for you?

You can contact GameGuard @ https://en.wikipedia...otect_GameGuard I am sure if you ask them a quotation for the hackshield you could fund it from our VIP subscriptions

Just takes one guys to code it for them and distribute it though, why do you think the program exist in the first place? As a coder i can totally appreciate the effort put into the software, however I don't think it should be used on official servers.

They have a github. All it takes is for the update to be approved and boom, everyone can get it immediately. And you can bet they'll be watching for updates like hawks once their bots stop working.

Warpportal Ragnarok is tied with legal contracts and such, changes of the same must go through the main HQ.

Also please ease out the specific bot program postings, and stay within main post suggestion.

Are the said contracts available to the public to read?

I can see that pRO and indRO have exclusive contracts for management, is it possible to clarify why we seem to be so "binded" compared to them?

This is my idea... apparently we have 24 hour bot hunting teams right? So, add a right click report bot function. If you get reported by say... 5 people within an hour, you get teleported to the jail. In the jail the GM waits in case people are teleported there who are no bots, so that they can tell the GM. After a quick discussion/test they are returned to the game and immune to being accused of being a bot for a period (24 hours? A week?)

This would be somewhat abuseable because you could wait til you get reported, answer the GM’s questions, then be free to bot for the rest of the week. But I think the mass-botters would be caught by this.

It’s also intrussive, but most people would not be too bothered to be teleported as long as it cleared the bot problem (and as long as they didn’t have to wait more than 5-10min to get back into the game).

This could not be in effect during woe or while an mvp is spawned on the map to prevent abuse.

Also maybe VIP players could be immune to this system, since most botters are free players I think.

If not right click then let us type /report <name> or that player code you can copy when u right click.

(Edit: the more I think about it I am not sure it would really work since I can think of several ways to abuse/break it. But at least a /report or right click report I think is necessary as the OP said)

Where does it say our server have a 24 hour bot hunting team? I'm lost on that.

I don't think Korea's assumptions are that far off to be honest...

Funny thing is: a GM replied to my ticket saying "We will keep a better look on [Removed] (Yea snip it) describing a report on [Removed] with about 2-3 screenshots AND TODAY TADA! HERES RIGHT THERE AT GOATS! SINCE I LAST I OPENED THE TICKET

Coming back to the topic, how hard is it to include a right-click Report Button? And also, could management reply why we do not have exclusive management on our Ragnarok Server?

Please do not post names of users suspected of ill-mannered behavior on forums.

I assume you are very well aware of the rule so please do not do it again.

In-game right click feature to report users is a decent suggestion, however how feasible it is, depends on the studio.

Yea so setting that aside, what about suggestions 1. and 2. and the contract that legally binds you to kRO? Seems I am not the only one suggestions solutions 1 & 2 and other threads are popping up
