i'm geneticist and need help to find the best shield to GTB card. any suggestion and why?

Depends on what you need the most. For more ATK and MATK/non-stop cast go with Mad bunny, just remember that it have 0 base DEF. If you need a decent amount of fire/water/holy/shadow resistace go with Valk shield, for neutral resistance and a bit of resistance to the 4 basic elements go with Immune Shield, if you want it for WOE i guess Imuke Shield would be a good option too for the long-ranged resistance.

 

IF i had the pleasure to own a GTB card i would put it on an Immune Shield, but that's just me, i would also wait for input from people that ACTUALLY own a GTB card , gl.

agreed w/ immune. MBS is overrated. extra atk doesnt mean sh&# if you can't first survive.

edit: only exception to mbs is the phen effect.. which can be taken care of by defaulting a +12 or better enchanted amistr bag (gives phen effect at +12 as well, on garment)

Immune Shield ftw. Especially if you do bio5 where mobs hit hard (when youre mobbed with kk/celia + other mobs), you really need neutral resistance.

You don't mob in bio5 you kill them one by one and kk hit tickles when you are up against physical monster in bio5 you switch to Alice shield

I use Dr card, but I use more to mvp and instances. Don't want to use in woe.

Immune is better if you're soloing most of the time. The extra neutral resistance is pretty neat. I'd only go for MBS if I somehow need the phen effect and at the same time need to leech as much hp as I can (EDA, Tengu scroll/blood sucker and Malicious Set), in which case I cannot wear Geffen Robe, Love Piece or Spellflow Set. And there are actually very few scenarios in the game where you need to stack that much leeching, also assuming your gene can't insta cast. But again, mine is stuck in valk shield and haven't had any problem so far, so MBS is not a necessity for sure. Genes can already kill pretty much everything without the extra atk/matk. Immune will obviously help you survive.

completely disagree. i've only ever been a pvm player so i'm familiar with most instances/dungeons. i started off with mbs gtb and every time i went to solo bio5 or et i was having difficulties with a lack of shield defense for valk, ifrit, and naght.. and the low shield def combined with forced reflect against seyren is usually what would kill me (while kiting).

once i made the switch and adjusted some personal tactics accordingly, all of these things were no longer an issue. but it's only because of the switch that i was able to adjust tactics.
