GTB means your only worry is neutral reduction and damage output. As a gene with GTB you should not worry with cast, then it is just damage. You do can already stack lots of eM/ATK and %M/ATK through other gears. Neutral reductions are necessary in the endgame (when GTB is really handy). So comparing Anemos to Immune Shield, it is Immune Shield for 12% neutral reduction. If Anemos had a %neutral reduction instead of %recovery then it would be perfect with its ATK/MATK bonus.

GTB means you dont take magic damage,theres still elemental physical damage in the game, and plenty of it.

The reason for immune is actually quite simple. With GTB you sacrifice a 30/40% reduction card in order to become immune to magic. Since most of the damage you take thats not magic is neutral, being it autos or neutral skills, Immune will help to ease the load on those while you dont have the reduction card anymore.

"Insert element" Attack lvX

various monsters have it all across the game.

"Insert Element" Breath lvX, it's an aoe physical attack in a big area in front of the monster.

ifrit's fire breath. if gtb and attack armor, im taking 65-80%? damage from this attack. if gtb + fire armor, im taking roughly 40-50%? dmg from this attack. if gtb + fire armor + dr etran, im taking roughly 10-25%? dmg from this attack.

 

edit: shuck, is the reason why description info for the 'breath' skills and such doesnt appear on dp & db.iro simply because its literally a physical element attack and no such description is needed?

How about those new shields, Anemos and Gaia Shields? I think those are pretty decent if you're looking into a more offensive way or I would say Immune shield if you're planning on comboing that with the Deviling Etran would be great!!!

They're specialized, for an MVP card you'd want the most generically better gear possible.

I finally took my GTB out of the valk shield and put it in a +12 Immune Shield. Still kind of want to try +12 MBS. Now that I have a +14 Old Midas ME5 I'm curious what I could tank. I hate to sacrifice the full Tengu set for a Love Piece.

I also took the Kafra Blossom cards out of my sapphire wrists for gold scarabas. I also usually use Bryn as armor. Probably best to stick with Immune. Don't want to go full glass cannon lol.

I'm fully prepared to move my GTB from +12 MBS to +12 Immune but I'm wrestling with the cast interruption options as well (and I don't have an ME5 yet x.x). Love Piece = no Syringe or Scroll. Spellflow = no mvp shadow set. Amistr bag = no FAW/Devi Etran. Geffen Magic Robe/etc = no Flame Dragon Armor. No way I'm gonna wear a Phen accessory in 2017, almost 2018.  

 

Ughhh. 

 

I DO have a massive stockpile of Unripe Yggs and Yggberries (even more now thanks to Raffler) so Love Piece is probably the best option.

Well I don't have ME5 OMW yet, but once I do, that'll be an option with DEX/INT food for CC, yeah. Until then, I can make it work. Nice to have so many options...  and if I don't like any of 'em, back to MBS until I make my ME5 OMW.

I still use a phen RWC ring when bombing because my many genes are still under 150 so I can’t get instant cast yet.
