Before starting:

Account A:hacked account(Only Owner of the items and account owner shares info of this due to MVP carded gear).
Account B:shared account. (shares same password and similar ID from account A. used for guild brewing).
Account C:culprit account.
Account D: stolen items buyer.
Account E:owner of the items( guild leader).
Account F: holder of the items.

Account B wasn't supposed to be shared, the owner of said account allowed the guild to use that account for brewing.

A few months ago an active guild member attempted to steal items from another guild member.
Said thief got kicked, the affected member issued a ticket. After a month of dialogue with the
GMs the items were restored. most account passwords  got changed, the culprit disappeared But, some accounts didn't have the
password changed. So the culprit kept the information from account B.

A few months later, the owner of account A borrowed some items from account F to prepare
beforehand for WoE. Sadly, since the info wasn't updated,  both account A and B got hacked,
Account A was holding some items from account F. of which some were mvp graded gears which
the culprit moved to account C. then sold to Account E for 6k WPE(From account C to Account E).
Upon issuing a ticket. and stating that Account A info was leaked to the guild leader
GMs decided to ban the culprit, along with the buyer of the items(Account D). lock down the items but not to restore the items because of shared account policy (The guild leader hasn't even logged that account for a long long time, in this case, nearly a year).

Even After explaining that the culprit may have figured out the info from account A by knowing
the info from account B(Account A was only shared with the guild leader due to safety reasons aka mvp gears). GMs kept their stance, stating that we should ask the other party to return the items.
In this case i'm not sure if he meant the owner to issue a ticket asking for recovery(also understood as if stating
the owner of the items took them, but then, why would someone steal his own items?).

Due to that and the fact that (as i understood it) the GMs encouraged for the owner to solve the issue. Owner of Account
E issued a ticket (Owner of the items). At the end, GMs also denied it due to sharing items policy.

Today found out Account D ban was lifted, and that he got to keep the stolen gears.

Why release an account which was involved in something shady without even offering a way out?, could have asked me to restore the WPE, restore the items to me, then  lifting the ban, or, in the worst case, make the items disappear.

When someone sells an item for way too cheap, from an unknown player and doubtful origin(classic is really small
so, basically, everybody knows eachother) it has to be involved in something shady.

Share passwords and accept consequences at your own risk.

So from all that transpired it would seem account D is a total victim to the case of accounts A,B, and F in the revenge of account C. Account E is an accomplice in the way this all sounds, unless you are saying account E also got stolen.... so i think the take home lesson is that the owner of account A should really get someone else to renew the password of account B because its a case of account A having no originality in thinking of passwords.

Sharing account is always bannable in other game. It also gives massive headache for GM's to solve. It is not a hack if purposely given account details to the other party.

GM has always said sharing password can lead to problems and difficulty in investigation when accounts are compromised.

So don't cry like a baby when it happens because you have been warned.

It's your choice. Don't go blaming anyone for it because they did not force you to do it.

even between guildies, each one knows the risk of sharing accounts and items. Its based on trust.

However, did you read this article?

https://support.warp...ng-allowed.aspx

I know maybe you are expecting a hard situation here, but the rules are clear. GMs are not forced to restore if you accept the risk when start to share accounts and items.

Even with something like that people will still end up sharing accounts. I wouldn't really share my account to even close friends. I value my account like a wife. Do you share yours with your friends?

Who is the thief?

What gears were stolen?

At least the community can be warned about who not to buy from, and treat the retard with extreme prejudice.

Greetings Ramses,

Before anything, account sharing is strictly discouraged, it places the account ID at risk. If the user chose to share their ID with guild members or friends then they are on their own.

For the case in question, the community may not be able to comment justly because there are a lot of matters involved in the case that goes between the owner of the ID and the GM staff, in which the user is advised to keep it secure and private.

If you are looking for a follow up on the case please PM me the ticket number and I will put a request to look into it thoroughly.
