Maybe it got too bloody thirsty...
The game will undergo maintenance on Saturday, 11/18 to address the issue.
It will be brief and will apply the following:

This will require a client and server patch on the following estimated schedule:
* Begins 17:45 UTC-8 18:50 UTC-8
* Ends 18:00 UTC-8 19:00 UTC-8
To help you better enjoy the belated event and with our apologies for the additional maintenance, we will bring the servers back up with a (+20%)+(+30%)=+50% Compounding bonus for the rest of the weekend in addition to the other event bonuses.
