[causese]

Back in the classic days there were a lot more people online so it was easier to level, get healed/buffed etc.

 

however, I just started playing the game and I'm at level 20 finding myself in a position where I ran out of pots & zeny.

 

I don't want to sit for minutes just to get back to full hp. Not fun.

 

What item can I buy from warpportal for $ that sells good on classic server?

 

just so i can buy some pots

 

I assume I'll need a merchant too riiight?

You can get 1 month VIP and 1500 KP for $15.
VIP increases exp and drops and gives you 3 hours of +10 to all stats per day.
You can get silvervine/bubblegum/battle manuals with KP and sell them for zeny.
1500 KP will net you 35-40m.

You can level off of meat/fish.   What I done at first.  It's a bit slow.   Make you a merc and get overcharge and discount at lvl 10.   That will help as well.

Change class to one that requires little zeny to farm and is made for PVM only. Rogue, Battle priest, TU priest. any priest really lol

Once you get some zeny built switch to your dream class.

Or you can buy wp, transfer to kp, and sell straight up silvervine 100 box. Check Ragial and price accordingly to how fast you want to sell or sit on them.

Actually Assasin works best here as a starting class , the equip is cheaper than rogue equip the do more damage, can mobb if needed and have other options aswell.

They are decent at farming ,they are just worthless in woe but hold thier ground beside that pretty well, besides they can easily get away with just a novice cutter and novice red potions until jobchange.

(Battle priest und Tu Priest are cheap to sustain aswell but are pretty bad at farming)

Best by far is Swordman Knight. You dont need any good eq and can start 1hit bash Porcellios and later mob/kill with BB like no other class. Also best farm char atm like no other

BB knight will cost you huge to make and fund. They can bring in tons of zeny lategame but it requires good EQ, greed bag/scrolls/tons of kp pots.

There is a reason why bots are mostly rogue/battle priest/battlesmith(they can carry tons before going to town) very efficient pvmers.

I'd lean heavy on rogue if youre poor and are pvm only(till u get funds for your dream char) They cost very little to equip. You get auto steal which almost doubles your loot per monster, can copy BB if you want to mob later on.

Stick a rogue in rideword room and collect some good zeny, worn out pages are 7k ea. Logout to a diff char for a few mins, they respawn and repeat. They also drop old magic book(400k ea) and the 4 ele books worth 50-100k ea. Or take him to magma1 and get tons of rough ori which are like 40k ea.

Silvervine 100 box. Buy the 1500KP +1mo VIP deal mentioned previously then buy a 1000 Silverviene crate for 900 KP (limited time!). Crack it open and vend the 100 boxes. You've got close to 25M Z and still 600 Kp left.

 

Alternatively, for just $5 usd you can buy a week of VIP and 3 silvervine 100s. That'll get you enough z to get started.

 

As for healing... Fish. If you plan on having a mage, do the Amsitr bag quest (best with Assiassin or Rogue if you're new) and hope you get a heal Amistr bag. Better than Viata card.
