Drops are stored as a number of 1-10000

1 being .01% and 10000 being 100.00%

If we do a drops boost of say 25% any item that is less than .04% will receive no effect. But at .04% the item would get that 25% boost and have a chance of dropping at .05%

 

For example for your question the item would become 1.01%.

 

However there is lastly a cap of about 90% drop chance on items boost by anything but database edit. That means if a item has a 50% chance to drop and receives a 300% bonus it will still cap at 90%

 

We do know that card drop rates are 0.02% (0.01% + 0.01%), and that only the "base" rate is affected by modifiers.

 

Meaning that Cards drop rate are unaffected by this server drops boost event of 25%. The minimum that is required is 50% (if you're VIP) since we don't really have any other gears that boosts the rate.

Please keep your BB's and pop them when there's a "real" server drops event.

 

As the calculations, it's here for those of you who missed the thread. The main thing to note is that all numbers smaller than 0.01% are rounded down.

 

 

OK I'm gonna try to explain it as clear as I can, but no guarantees  

 

That 1.00 at the beginning depends on your approach.

If you use 300% in [BubbleGum] the then you do not need to add the 100% base at the beginning.

If you use +200% (Increase by 200%) in [BubbleGum] like what I did, you need to add 100% at the beginning.

It is the basic percentage shown below because we all have to start from something when we set everything to 0 (no VIP, no gear, no server-wide drop bonus, no gum).

 

If I had to modify the formula, it's gonna be something like this:

[Base Rate] * (100% + [VIP_dropRate] + [GearsWithDropRateBonuses] + [ServerWideDropBonuses] + [BubbleGum]) = [value] + 0.01% = [FinalRate] 

But in this case, you MUST use +200% instead of 300%.

And server-wide drop bonuses MUST be 0% as well, since that is the value displayed when you log-in (represented by "Chaos 0.0%")

 

0.01% * (100% + 50% + 0% + 0% + 200%) = 0.035% rounded down to 0.03%

0.03% + 0.01% = 0.04%

Where:

[Base Rate] = 0.01%
[VIP_dropRate] = 50%
[GearsWithDropRateBonuses] = 0%

[ServerWideDropBonuses] = 0%

[BubbleGum] = 200%

Aren't you a card farmer yourself? The only thing in ET that is boosted is the Valk Shields (which I feel is super rigged as well, my drops are better during no bonuses)

 

Can't help but feel cheated with the drop rates being rounded down. RIP just subscribed for another 6 months VIP too for my G.scarab farmer.

and Cards are RNG i dont even gum that anymore and Gum is so <Boop>ing over priced so eh. I also get better loots when during non-drop events. yesterday ran a ET and got only 2 shields and 2 armors :v.

Still RNG. I always get MvP cards during non-event times. Got an Orc Lord (crap mvp but still an mvp  ) in ET this week like half an hour before Magus put in the thanksgiving exp/drop bonus.

Funny, my Orc Lord was also no event, VIP only (we forgot to re-gum even though I called it out a few floors down) lol. An Orc Lady dropped a card like 5 sec beforehand too~

There are equips that increase Drop Rate %.

But it also help when you're using gum... so.. not a total loss.

Yeah, as I was saying, the server bonus does not help mvp card drops at all. It's rounded down.

Unfortunately there are no other gears apart from Amistr bag and Sol Boots to boost that rate, even which, it's only 17% (10+7) max which has no implication on Card drop rates at all, even when there's a 25% drops boost.

So agreed, I'm just happy I kill the MVP as I am not strong enough to solo them yet. So if I kill it's an accomplishment especially Valk with all the deaths in ET.

25% Thanksgiving + 10% from shoes = 7% from +14 Amistr Bag = 42% increase. Which means I don't need to buy HE gum to affect card rates, just need regular bubble gum. So it's cheaper at least.

Actually nope, you need at least 100% modifiers boost to at least get an improved rate for cards.

Rounded down to 0.02%

Gear = 10 + 7% (shoes and +14 Amistr Bag[1])

Thanksgiving = 25

Base = 100

 

Total = 192%

So you just need 8% more to influence card.

Yep, I won't be renewing my VIP as well, unless there's server bonus of at least 50% for drops to "attract" us to VIP our accounts for card farmers.

The change that I think WP should enact, since VIP has been somewhat lackluster for a while now, is to have a higher bonus to xp/drops for VIP accounts compared to normal accounts when events are in. 

 

So have an additional portion stack on the VIP bonus as well as the server bonus.

This is good for cards, and other super rares, trust me, you don't want such things to be easily farmed. I would destroy the market, if such items had any drop rate higher then 0.03, and even a 0.03 would be pretty high for a card.

I've read a vet player say that VIP modifies Gum/HE Gum the same way it modifies Battle Manuals, so, it's still good to add an extra 100% drops when HE Gums are active, and that extra 50% help in very rare items.
