Hi,

 

I am a level 82 SVD knight.  Since I turned into a knight, I have pretty much been slaughtering High Orcs until my current level.  I am wanting to go to hunt raydrics to try at a card there, but I am not entirely sure when that would be safe to do.  I have an idea of what weapon I need and simply need to go buy it and get going.  Am I strong enough to be hunting Raydrics now or need more levels?

Well Make Sure you have enough dex and you will be able to 2 shot them with bb, for a weapon a very very strong claymore or a +7 double bloody two handed sword will do the job

With decent equip you can go as soon as you get BB4. I was there from lvl 61 on

About those equips, is a non carded very very strong claymore really that good against them?  How does it compare to the Double Bloody 2H?

You may want to pack a cranial shield and bathory armor if you plan to farm chivalry. Obviously that would require using a 1h sword, a Flamberge with a pair of santa poring cards, or a santa poring/Minorous would do you right. Just don't get overwhelmed and you'll do fine.

So I just went for it with a +5 Double Hallowed Two Hand Sword and slaughtered the place. Santa Poring cards were a huge suggestion, as I that meant I didn't have to mess with overpriced stuff like Hydra cards.  It kind of baffles me the price of some stuff on the server (not hydra cards) being 100 million plus zeny.  Who buys this stuff on a regular basis?  Hello, normal, new players out here needing to gear up!

 

While farming raydrics, I did take less overall damage compared to clock tower high orcs, as the high orcs outnumber them and attack in larger groups.  The loot is good too, but I haven't found my card yet.  Still trying to gear up... I"m in the most noob gear and even have some empty slots lol.

Santa porings are the key to Glast Heim, they're a real game changer in a high attack weapon. I'm glad I could help out, good luck with farming that card.

I have a question. Is this build really to push as 1st character? I really enjoy playing knights, but in past play only agi-str-dex twohand swing build.

as long as you can wack em dead in 2 BB's then any weapon will work to be honest, I run around castle2 with a ice claymore when i dont have aspersio as everything dies in 2 BB's and I am too lazy to switch. 

 

It is a bit different if you are using Aspersio and able to oneshot by means of carded weapon, then use the appropriate carded weapon!
