ppl will always prefer to complain than to put the needed effort to achieve the goals :T

so, you know, you deserve to get nothing.

(not like getting ends is really a big deal, castle rewards are objectively bad. If your intention in woe is to farm that, well, you are doing it wrong)

the current big guilds were small guilds at one point. They worked harder and focused on keeping their members happy rather than complain on the forums.

I think the real problem is that we don't have a huge influx of new players, which makes it harder for smaller guilds that have "less to offer", so to say, to attract members.

But if those small guilds would band together and make a larger guild they would have more to offer and start attracting The new ppl who do start

I don't think it's fair to expect small guilds to merge or ally. Here's why:

We need more guilds. These guilds may be small but they deserve the chance to grow like the big guilds have, they've put in all the work, blood sweat and tears if you like, and they want to be something.

Even if the small guilds ally, they can't fight the "big" guilds, even as an alliance. What they need is other small guilds to fight against in order to be having fun, grow and improve. This is why cutting castles is bad.

What happens if small guilds just merge and become less guilds but bigger? Classic happens. They don't go through the learning process of having peers so they become a bigger guild that still can't compete. Then there's less and less guilds and the server is dead.

What small guilds need is new players on the server so they can recruit. Recruiting right now is hard because there aren't many incoming or new players.

What Xellie is saying is, take a look at Choobs (Link), it is a fantastic tool for everyone to use, it is one consolidated page, where you can see which guild controls which castle, how long they have been controlling said castle, how many times any castle was broken during the last WoE, and much more information.

Taking a look at November 25th, everyone knows p2w and SNL+SU are holding economies on castles Valkyrie 4 and Luina 3, respectively, so if you are a small guild, don't even try to go into those castles unless you see it was broken, if it was, then it is a good idea for you to go to those castles and help break down the economy, or try to sneak in a last hit to the emperium, it will also help you be better at coordinating, practice mechanics and target calling. Also, looking at number of breaks, you can see Luina 4, Luina 5, and Balder 1, each got broken just 2 times last WoE, so they are likely to have some economy left over from the previous week, so if your goal is to break down economies of every castle, next WoE more efforts needs to be devoted to those 3 castles. This is a small example of how useful Choobs can be.

Now speaking of end castles, if you go back week by week, you can see which castles the bigger guilds are giving priority to, make a spreadsheet, and you will probably be able to predict which castles you should avoid by the end of WoE if you are a small guild; or if you are a medium guild, you might be able to wrestle some of these high priority castles from the big guilds by the end of WoE, and maybe get another small castle, or maybe go for 2 small castles if you can coordinate properly.

Pretty much this.

Additionally, merging only really works if you find a guild with the same goals as your own, otherwise there is a high chance it'll end up going wrong and people will just leave anyway.

Like I said before, it's not about big guilds destroying the scene, it was just a feud transfer that keeps prolonging ad infinitum. Also, since the PvM scene is dead, there is no point in town bumming for random dungeon runs or any other content because RO is just a weekly login with bot management. It's sad to see what RE:Start has become, but this isn't new. It took Renewal years to reach that point when RE:Start did it in less than... 4-5 months? I wonder if congratulations are in order!

I think they are tied with ROPD and since that doesn't seem to update for Odin I doubt choobs will ever get the emblems.

I'm not sure who run ropd but people have emailed them through their site which hasn't gotten any response so I guess it's not being maintained these days.

To all the guild leaders/players out there that are complaining to "Big Guilds" and they are "Small Guilds". DON'T BE SO LAZY, RECRUIT MORE PEOPLE, ANALYZE THE SERVER, KNOW HOW TO TALK AND TO RECRUIT AND DONT LIMIT YOUR GUILD INTO "$%y$e$rg only" "erg^334wre only". Don't expect your "Small Guild" to be a "Big Guild" if you don't put something to work and sacrifice. If I say "Only Filipinos allowed" and I know that in this server there are only few Filipino players and some of them prefer International guild. Do you think my guild will be a Big guild? No, because I limit my guild. Big guilds once were a Small guild, they just work hard and put an excellent WOE strategy. If you want your guild to grow, make it an International guild and give supplies. Most of the players are looking for a guild that gives supplies especially if they are free to play.

To be honest, this week's WOE result is the best so far. Almost all the WOE guilds (big or small guild) in the server have their own castle.

^ I would like to add to that because my guild is just starting out and I want to do things right.

"DON'T BE SO LAZY, RECRUIT MORE PEOPLE, ANALYZE THE SERVER, KNOW HOW TO TALK AND TO RECRUIT AND DONT LIMIT YOUR GUILD"

This is the whole problem that small guilds are faced with so I will try to break it down.

1.DON'T BE SO LAZY- From my experience with Odin so far, I can say that most guild members are lazy when improving their guild.

Improving their guild should be the number one priority which is "working hard and putting an excellent WOE strategy together".

2.RECRUIT MORE PEOPLE- We all know that this is one of the most difficult aspects of a guild but I would like to share my strategy.

My first guild will require all members to have one level 99 character. Once their character is 99, they must make a second 99 character for the second guild. Guild leaders would be chosen to lead the other three guilds as the 1 guild grows. This would allow a 25 man/woman guild to have two recalls, a guild to push out of emp room and  a guild to defend emp room.

3.ANALYZE THE SERVER- By looking at the server, you should realize that people are becoming lazy and WoE numbers keep dropping.

Executing 1. and 2. would help offset members that may miss one or two WoE's. This helps to prevent the whole guild from getting discouraged because the leader has planned for things to happen and nothing to be perfect.

4.KNOW HOW TO TALK AND TO RECRUIT AND DONT LIMIT YOUR GUILD- This comes down to strategy and having a plan with no limits. I told everyone here that the guilds that fight the bigger battles will get the most people for WoE. I have played this game to long to not know this.

As a smaller guild, I plan to do exactly what Immortal described.

With a bit of luck and hard work, Fight Club will become a big guild by executing the above.
