Prolly they know how to do their job (I hope) but the perception, which is everything "post-truth", is that they are a bunch of ... Idk how to say this in english sry... but whatever they do is not enough and feel like we need to teach them how to.. even me, I have no idea bout managing a server, or botting, but I feel the frustration when I see poor answers i reports or some obvious maps are not monitored constantly.

I take it the team that handles this know what they are doing, and bots are being actively nuked; however, there are higher priority things to do as well, especially with server maintenance and such looming.

If it was indeed nuked on major targets the situation would look a lot different ... it feels more like a Nerf gun that they shoot into an empty desert...

So im out of ro for 3 or 4 months just to figure they was in the same points. Full of bots and dont doing any-_- about it. Also i figure u already lose more people because on a moment before i leave was 3k users with 0 bots when u developed the anti-bot systems that makes game crash. Them now r 3.5k users online but almost 2k r bots because everymap i go r full of them. And this isnt funny i got 200 whispers from bots them got ks from bots at everymap. How the -_- u can mob if 20 bots go over ur mob and split them teleport out? This isnt funny . There r people spending money on this game thats why u earn a -_-ing salary. But that looks like didnt care for staff because didnt fix the problem. I see the same bots i saw 3 months ago when i leave . There r the same number of bots there out. The only people who quit this game r real users because got bored from that -_-. Fix that problem because was idiot to have more bots than real users. U already lose more than 50% of population since the start of this server. Them now we r like 10% from the start the only people who play without say any-_- r bots

If what you see is true, then the "bad guys" definitely out number the good guys.  You are going to need to practice some patience, as my guess is there are not thousands of GM and they can't be everywhere at once.  Neither can superman...

 

I did get a whisper from a "IRO GM 80" in game, but I"m not sure if it was bot hunting or what.  I was kinda not sure if it were the real GM or not.  I got a random whisper and almost missed it because I don't have 1:1 chat window option on, so it appears in my default chat window and I was destroying some clock tower high orcs at that moment.  So if that is any indication, their team is on the hunt.  Also, airstrikes called in on alde baran by the community did get handled, and many assassin bots are gone.

 

However, the "bad guys" are real persistent and might be back...

GM whispers are special, that one was indeed one of them probably doing a bot hunting round on the map

Yeah I was going to add this. It is more difficult to miss a GM whisper than a regular whisper. I had a GM whispering me about an account/character issue I was having resolved, and it definitely showed up in both my chat window as well as at the top of my screen.

 

I usually have an eye on my chat in anything I play, though, but I know that isn't always the case for everyone. But if a GM was bot checking you, they'd be doing more than just whispering - at least based on what I've seen and would certainly hope!

Ive heard alot on the bot hunting team, that they are banning bots daily. 

 

-Zeny spammers in town should be the easiet to ban, yet theyre still there daily 24/7. (If we ban one a new one pops up ive heard, well make life hard for em. Stay at it ban em over and over? You know where they are and where they will be.)

-Common places such as toy factory/orc field/izlude dungeons/pspores/porcellios etc remains heavily infested. List goes on and on. 

-The bots grew up enough to be able to farm high end places. Look at chiv2/gl churchyard1 as an example.

 

Then you step out of the common places and take a look at maps thats not as popular. Amatsu/Louyang/catacombs to mention a few.

What you see there is level 99 bots. No vip no manuals indicates that they have been running for a looong time without any action.

 

So my question is really: How does this team work?

-Is it 1hour per week or do they follow the useless "airstrike" thread only?

-How do they operate?

-How many people is in this team?

-Do they have any strategy or guidance?

-How do WE paying customers know that they even are trying when numbers dont reflect it at all?

Looking at the numbers 2-3k bots seems stable for odin. Which clearly rubs of on the market/inflation.

After a few months of no control from your side it makes me think you have given up?

And the questions continue, since we are seeing no change im afraid of that the bot team is purly made up to please concerd customers.

 

While its a good initiative from your side to get some control since you cant seem to get any help from Korea or the other servers, its not working out.

 

I feel like opening up tickets for bots is not our job. Since it has minimal effect. It takes time and effort to both report and most of all it can takes weeks before the ticket even gets read. By then the bots have done their purpose.

So I've been around from the start of this server. And the forums is a great tool for the game.

Its just become worse and worse, specially since the addition of the new trigger happy mods.

But it seems that we are not allowed to express or discuss our concerns.

Its so sad to browse the forums when 80% of all threads is locked.

This needs to stop. If you think majorty of your players is under 16 your are very wrong.

Sure, mod drama, mod insults, mod useless comments. But let us have a chance as a community to speak with you guys as this is the only way we can reach you?

his a game of guessing, ppl always complained about poor transparency in this server and to make it worse, they keep locking threads. I don't see anybody insulting but expressing what we see from our side, and they lock it.     

I've been very patient player, since day one trying to encourage ppl to not buy from RMT bc that's the main reason for botters.

I am a GM of a small guild and very proud of my peeps, but they are very new to the server and trying to cheer them up it's frustrating and tiring.

   

So... yesterday after days and days of lag I decided to go with some guildies to an easy map bc of my lag I can't support properly, to bathory map, and it was infested... several times I saw how the bots killed my mob after 30 secs of freezing. 

In the technical forum I see there crowded maps with no casualties? Really? Other maps I reported which are very good drop for money are nit even checked.
What's the point?   

And how come places that drop quest items like bathories among others are not monitored daily?   

I hope they don't lock this thread too... Thx for starting the convo Evotec.

The issue is often not the topic being discussed but the manner in which it is being discussed. Some people become a bit too passionate about it and that passion turns into angry posts attacking others who don't agree with their mindset. Disagreeing is okay, but attacking another is not.

 

That kind of posting is unacceptable and results in those posts being removed. Because of that, readers don't see the removed posts and are often left wondering what happened. Chances are if a thread is locked it's because of repeated derailing or harassment. vMods usually post the reason for closing the thread as the last post.

What mango is saying leads to the fact that they'd prefer to shut down legitimate discussion which could be the aim of trolls than to punish those who attack or derail and allow the discussion to continue. 

 

Or at least, that's the impression mods give. I would hope their aim isn't to feed trolls who aim to shut down discussions, but they do.

No, I believe you are misunderstanding.

 

We repeatedly clear abusive posts and warn users who are being problematic. You may have noticed other threads where mods have asked people to calm down and the thread is allowed to continue. So long as most of the discussion is legit, and the topic is not a topic that should not be allowed. Example; entire topic is designed to attack WP without any suggestions on how to resolve the issue or just being hostile for the sake of being hostile. Topics about individual problems that need to be solved in tickets. Things that just don't need community input.

 

This topic has only one post that has removed, it has been very tame and has been allowed to continue. Others sometimes accumulate dozens of posts removed and those are often the problem posts that result in locking.

 

If you feel something has been mistakenly locked due to vMod biased or is something you feel the community needs to have heard, I suggest connecting CM Astra with your issues!

Honestly it's not hard to troll threads and get VMs to close them, it's clearly happend a number of times. It's easier to close the thread than to actually mod the clear trolls
