So I am wondering a couple things for skills.

 

First I am wondering if Demon Bane has any effect on GC.

I am pretty certain it does not but with renewal mechanics being so different from when I played before I have no idea if it has been changed as well.

 

Second I am wondering if Divine protection is worth getting/maxing?

I plan to be fighting mostly Demon and Undead class anyway, Also I plan to have substantially low vit, hitting just 23 base vit. Would that make this skill more desirable, or less?

 

On another note I was reading some stuff about renewal grand cross and came across a description that puts LUK as more advantageous over STR overall. -unless- your weapon has at least 200 base atk without upgrades? I had planned to get LUK but only at about half of what my STR was going to be. After reading this guys guide I am thinking I should switch that around.

- affects, but Mastery Attack is pretty minimal(sometimes almost unnoticeable) on the overall damage

- It is a flat amount of reduced damage. Not worth the points at all.



- 1 str = 0.5% weapon base attack, 1 status atk(effective 2 dmg)
- 3 luk = 1 status atk (effective 2 dmg) 1 matk (1 dmg)
3 str = 3 status atk ( effective 6 dmg), 1.5% weapon base atk

Thanks for the response.

It seems the guide I was reading most likely has the GC formula incorrect, having ATK as a stand alone flat dmg and the MATK portion being the only thing increased by GC.

the advantage (or not)of the matk portion of GC is that it is always Holy element, while the weapon portion (not status atk) will depend on your weapon element.
