I just came from the RK job change and had my character get killed in order to set the experience to 0%. I went inside low TI and after I got killed my RK leveled to 100. How is this possible? I was not hitting any monsters nor wearing any reflect gears at that moment that could cause any death of monsters around me. Is this a bug or some sort? Could anyone please enlighten me? Thanks in advance!

After you change to 3rd Job if you already had accumulated enough exp to get to level 100 you will go automatically after you "update" your level/experience, usually people kill any monster to update the experience, like a poring or something, but i guess that apparently when you die it updates your level too since you're losing exp , that's new to me :v

When you reach lvl99 the exp bar isn't visible but you're still accumulating exp. Probably you got enough exp to reach 100 from grinding to job 70 i think.

No worries, level 100 chars still can enter low TI, you are only unable to get the free job reset from the npc in izlude/prontera. 

Fear not there's always mesmerist, and Santa should be offering a free reset soon.

also when you level at 99., you can see your experience gained on the character select screen information., not on experience bar., if it has more than 7000000 exp. you gain level no matter what

Is there a max exp gain for when u reach lvl99? For example, if i have a knight at lvl99 and i just farm magical stones for months through gramps, and one day decided to rebirth and lvl it, does it gain like 5-10 levels?? Or is this only for rebirth chars? Or it will only gain 1 level?

however dont forget, you can only get a maximum of 1 lvl and 90% of the next one in a single chunk of exp.

Thank you for all who answered. I was hoping to use the free job reset then unfortunately this happened. I guess I'll just use Mesmerist then

Noticed, only happened with RK so far once you get 99 3rd job killed one mob in low TI bam lvl 100.

My exp bar was at 30%-ish? after the Job Quest then become blank (for some reasons) I was assuming only a display bug but nope you get automatically a level after getting few xp.

 

Got mad since I had trash skills and couldn't reset.

Yes you can, mesmeryst is your friend.

On-topic:

If you are VIP and doing low ti just balance your base and job level. Or level your job first then base next but don't dump every exp you get on you base when you are almost 99. See to it that your exp gained through ti wouldn't be greater than what is actually needed. For safety, try manually leveling for it.

I've been with this problem many times but not being vip solves this more often.
