I was on my Pecco walking to give Zeras Doppleganger the quests of the Winter Nights event when I died out of the blue. I was walking neard the border of the mountain but I already was on the ground, I didn't fall or anything I just died, if somebody could check this, is not the first time it happens to me

Hello AlphaHex,

thank you for submitting to our attention this bug report and I am sorry you run into it.

Would you mind giving a more accurate description of where it happened?

Just to inform you: falling from high can cause a substantial loss of HP and sometimes it can cause the death of your character. Sometimes, when there's a problem with your internet connection or there's latency you will receive the effect of the fall after a couple of seconds.

To make you understand better:

At 17.02.54 you fall and due to your internet connection/latency you won't receive any damage from the fall;

At 17.03.14 you mysteriously die;

That happens because the effect of the fall gets delayed.

This might not be the case since there are a few spots on various maps that make you die for no reason at all by just walking, but it's important to know where your experience stands.

Please! If possible provide the exact coordinates so it will be easier to check!

Thank you, see you in game!

Hello, sorry for the late respond, I'll explain:

I was walking, I was already on the ground, i didn't fall or anything, I made sure of that since at another time a DID fall and wasn't all for loosing more Mastery points, so this time I went down the hill with a lot of care, but this time to make it "faster" once I got to the road I started walking really near the skirt of the mountain to get to Zeras when I died for nothing, I didn't take a screenshot or anything, but I'll try to replicate the experience once I get home

If this is what I think it is, I think there's a few locations where the world geometry is a bit screwy and you can fall upwards for a moment triggering falling damage (There's even a cliff which can cause this effect)

I'd just advise walking a bit further away from the base of cliffs and mountains.

Well I did reproduce the bug and is definitly what you say, take a look at this

This is the exact spot where I died

ScreenCapture_2017_12_09_18_59_12_zpsjue

Is this pyramidal thing, if you get to the top and slide down, you die

ScreenCapture_2017_12_09_19_02_53_zpsvsh

ScreenCapture_2017_12_09_19_02_54_zpsb3e

And notice that is not high enogh to cause masive damage

Hello AlphaHex,

thank you for the Screenshots.

As Draobyek said, there are a few spots here and there in Midgard that weren't designed that well...

My suggestion is to always be walking on the designed routes and whenever you feel in a "Dora the Explorer" mood, you better use Divine Protection!

Thank you again for your submission,

if you have lost a great amount of Mastery Points you might want to try to retrieve them back by sending a ticket through the support page that you find here.

See you in game!
