Can someone tell me how play Requiem on Steam without registering for a new account?  When I run the game after installing it I get present with the registration screen and there is no option to skip it or use existing account.  I know that I can bypass it by going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Requiem and running UPDATERUSA.EXE but this doesn't stop Steam from bringing up the registration screen whenever I launch the game through Steam.  If I am going to manually launch the UPDATERUSA.EXE in SteamApps I might as well just be using the stand alone Requiem client.  My understanding is there is only 1 server (Trifri) so there isn't any sense in creating another account as it isn't like it was back when there was the Nova server for Facebook and Kalydo clients.

Thanks

This is the registration screen that I refer to.  How can I just get that game to launch from Steam without requiring a new account to be created?  I already have my old legacy account )as well as the additional one that was created for the Facebook/Kaldo client) and it would be superfluous to have a new account just for Steam as the sever is still Trifri.  Does anyone know how to do this or can it be done?

Supposedly if you enter in your account details of your original account it should work. However, it didn't work for me.

Thanks for the reply Cleffy.  Just tried using my existing account details, and got to an error stating "please contact requiem customer support [11]" and see an exclamation point/mark next to the username field.  I would suspect the error means that account already exists and therefore that you can't register that account name as an new account.  Not surprised seeing that as this is what I expected as this is typically the error you get when registering for new accounts where the account already exists.

As far as I can remember, you can't link your existing account to Steam. If you try to enter your already-existing account details on that pop up box, you will get an error since the info already exists on their account database.

Now, if your account was created through Steam in the past, then you simply need to be logged in with the correct Steam account to access your Steam-created Requiem account.

Otherwise, your option would be to play using the non-Steam game client.

There is another way. But it was on my old computer. You simply open the client up. I did that before and it worked fine. Need to find it again so I don't have to start from scratch.

This is bypassing the Steam Launcher. Doing this does not link your existing Requiem account to your Steam account. As the topic starter mentioned, might as well use the stand alone client.
