I tried out RO a while ago, and definitely all oldish-school graphics were cool and all, but I was pretty sad that the customization didn't really exist. Also, I couldn't finish that ONE quest. Anyway..

I decided to try this game out (so I guess I'm a newbie here..) (also mostly because of the beastmaster class)

oh and the game is downloading at a whopping under 1 MBps most of the time.

Okay so here are my newbie questions so I can get some stuff in my head bouncing out instead of waiting for 3 hours, hopping into the game, and have no idea on what's going on.

1. Is the Beastmaster an advanced class? (I saw a few advanced classes around in the classes section, I think) If so what class do I need to pick first to get to Beastmaster?

2. Is there another race that aren't humans?

3. Is it worth having Chef as your profession?

Also can you give me some tips if you happen to play Beastmaster or whatever class is needed to play it before that? Thanks!

Hello MizaiPup!

It's always nice to see new players so I'm glad to answer your questions.

Let's go by order:

1. Yes! Beastmaster is a secondary class, this means that you will have to pick up Archer and get to level 25 to be able to change your class to Beastmaster;

2. Yes! In Ro2 there are two races: Humans and Noels. Though, if you want to be a Beastmaster you can only pick up the Human race. Human race comes with five classes: Swordman, Mage, Thief, Archer and Acolyte, while Noel race comes with two classes: Soulmaker and Crecentia.

3. The easiest profession to level up is Artisan and Alchemist. Chef is one of the hardest to level up, so here's my suggestion! Choose Artisan and get to level 50, at that point you can use your Guardian Rune (you are given it in the Starter Package you will receive via mail) to change your profession to Chef! If I have to be honest though, Chef is probably the least useful of the four professions... so think about it twice!

One more thing, even if you didn't ask about it: Beastmaster is a good class and it doesn't require much effort to be decent, it's good enough to solo play since you have a both decent self healing skill and good defenses/HP. The only downside about Beastmaster is the damage: being a Tank-designed class its damage is very low, so it will take a great deal of patience if you decide to play solo.

See you in game!

Hello! Thank you for all the info, this is certainly helpful. I'll be sure to pick the archer up and get to level 25 ^-^

And sounds cool. I like to play team too, so I wouldn't mind being the big tank-bear in the team lol.
