From what I understand the trade limit on zeny per transaction is 999,999,999 zeny, so I'm not entirely understanding how one goes about safely selling something over that amount. Is there some trick to going past that limit, or are all 1B+ transactions trust trades?

 

Also, what do people mean by "leave RODEX" in their trade chats?

You can use GM assistance if you want to trade item, but the process is long and i think if the item price not more than 5B, better trade it by yourself

 

For trade like this always trade with a person who own a main 3rd job character .. and maybe u can check his/her ROPD as well, of using some kind of collateral if both party agree

You can trade more than 1 billion in game.

the standard when you don’t have enough trust is to ask for a collateral item with equal worth to the zeny still required.

EG: i’m selling giants protection for 1.5B. Seller is unwilling to pay me 500m before we deal GP for 1B. Nothing wrong with that, smart of him to be wary of bad people (not that i’m one).

So what happens is that we do the trade in one deal.

My GP for his 1B and a +9 HBP. We will then do a second deal with him paying 500M for his HBP back. So yes, use item collaterals. Best way to go about it.
