  • Characters will be silenced for 2 seconds when going through a portal. This *should* silence the character and prevent recall from being cast.

 

This is not a "Fix". It's dirty workaround.

That is for Renewal server.

For Restart server the Gift exchange machine is located at prontera (154, 292), just behind the hands statue.

Feed back on portal recall fix

 

• portals don't silence 100% of the time
• Portals only seem to silence in one direction (i.e: going in they don't silence the player, going out they do)
• Portal recall still works 
• duration is too long
• Having to wait 2 seconds before cloaking/hiding is complete bs
• It can be bypassed by walking in an out because the duration doesn't refresh
• It doesn't affect all characters due to int resistance to silence (meaning that properly built monks innately have resistance to the silence)

Hope this is comprehensive enough for you to remove it.

Its actually quite lame. It accomplishes nothing except for screw with Thief Classes and Monks.

Also if someone silences you, you walk into a portal and incur portal silence, the portal silence cancels out the players silence for the duration.

It also sucks to walk into a portal and be silenced and have to wait for it whilst monks walk in and don't get silenced.

High INT chars aren't getting silenced when walking through a portal in WoE. 

We need a better fix than this. It just broke the game even more.

I'm finding it humorous that everyone who really wanted a portal recall fix utilizes/benefits from it literally every WoE, and this current "fix" is the result of PR. But like, nobody cares that nearly every guild leader on the server uses portal recalls all the time. It just proves most of us are super lame nerds that take pastel shaded capture the flag way too seriously.
