Hello everyone.

As the year comes to a close we are looking towards making plans for 2018.

Update Schedule
The studio has indicated that due to the number of other partners that opened in 2017 we can only expect to receive 3 major content updates next year.

Late 1st Quarter
1st Illusion Dungeon

16.2

Late 2nd Quarter
16.2

Late 3rd Quarter
2nd Illusion Dungeon


Game System Updates
Fortunately only the major content updates are considered.. well major content updates. We are also requesting smaller updates to the game itself not in terms of content but game systems as well. We've requested the following games systems from the studio to be delivered throughout the year in 2018.
Tradeable VIP Time Item
Guild Warehouse System
Quest UI Update
Bank System
Gear Swap System
Party UI Update
Client Settings Update (Moves stuff out of the setup.exe)
Menu Update
Various Missing Cards

Shadow Item Quest
Were going to continue to introduce a new shadow item quest every month. UPDATE HERE


Over all the team believes that 2018 will be a fun year in Ragnarok Online as we work to modernize many of the game systems and make them easier to use for everyone.

Updated schedule to reflect the update order changes. We have received the 16.2 Data and started testing.

I was going to write a very long winded post about the state of things with the game, however a single sentence sums up a large portion of problems that will not be touched on, but at the very least clarifies my biggest concern.

 

My only question is this. What is WP gonna do to make up for kROs shortcomings?

The studio has not shared any details with us yet. But will remind them again.

So some small updates like the Double Attack Crit and jRO sprites will not be implemented in 2018? and how about the job class improvement project like Shadow Chaser, Rune Knight or Mechanic? not sure about other jobs.

 

If not then it is truly "Ragnarok in 2018".

OVERWEIGHT LIMIT 70% penalty not in 2018!!!! It's not really fun going back and forth to Kafras or depositing low valued items to RoDex.
It takes some part off the fun out of 2018.

Well, no NOGH next year, at least we will get those two new robes from 16.2.

That rather sad short list of upcoming updates (only 3?) really contradict to 2018 being a fun year in RO... Does kRO and WP really thinking that 3 updates can keep the playerbase interested for an entire year? Even if kRO can't give us much update, at least focus on other more dire issue? Then again we all know kRO has 0 interest in so that's that.

Not really looking like much of an improvement since it feels like we've always been getting a sparse amount of updates every year long before the publisher changes for the other official ROs.

Hopefully. Honestly I wouldn't care about big new updates at this point, I care more about them fixing the game, but they don't have any interest in that.

Yea, because kRO is known for giving us more content than what they are supposed to.
