each class has its own strenghts in it's most apropriate setup.
GX can kill very well solo, but you'll need some fast reaction to whatever happens, and some pretty good gear. Genetic deals less burst but it's overall safer. WL has the best party sinergy there. Dorams have a pretty decent single target dps and nice hp pool/defenses. RG has good defenses, but needs much better offensive gears and buff mainteance than others, etc etc.

Gene is the safest but the most boring to me for some reason lol. Gx is the most thrilling for sure, at least for me.

If you already have it, go for it. I wouldn't dump a bill just to get stuff there when there are other characters that do better.

been hunting cfrags with my gene solo

 

problem is, only got mediocre gears at most (+12 stuffs)

 

i have to rely heavily on buff consumables to effectively kill fast (+pots pots pots)

 

ive learned how to use my homun as bait to lessen my pot consumption there also

 

then ive decided i give it a try with my WL solo too

 

and the results were amazing

 

survivor + celine set

 

CL, ES, Hell Inferno, JT

 

this is the first time i've actually used DrainLife, and it's WOW

 

not only did i need to use consume buffs but also i seldom use pots now in bio5

 

just kite with CL or JT+SW, tank with HI vs RG/AB, ES wind monsters and use DLife in between and your off to go get your Cfrag supplies

 

not really the best, but i think it's the most cost effecient

 

just need to invest on survivor set and celine there

 

 

p.s. im even considering earth drive now, have you guys tried it before? can it reach 200k+ dmg vs wind bio5 mobs with surv set?

Heaven's Drive can easily deal 200k+ to Cecil and Perfs. When encountering em' I usesd Alice Anemos so the damage would be higher compared to Alice MBS. Well, I would still prefer Earth Strain, coz you can take em down w 2-3 shots (ES>2x Release). Anyways, I'm using the same set in bio5 and it's damn good.

do you guys think the survivor set is better than lacryma set for bio 5?

 

I currently use lacryma set and find it quite annoying to not be able to cast deluge cause of some ground aoe. Or how I need to stand still while watching the waterball pretty much taking the bio 5 ppl headon.

It really depends on the user whether they prefer survivor&celine set or lacryma set. To me, I prefer using survivor&celine set for bio5 because  it's easy to use and can kill fast imo. Below are the skills that I used on every monsters:

 

JT/CL - Eremes, Gertie, Seyren, Flamel, Chen, Howard, KK and Celia (Spam JT and when the buff procs, use CL especially to those monsters that max pain! >_<   )

TV/ES/HD - Cecil and Peformers (2x ES and 1x HD will do to kill em), Make a habit of reading your spellbook 1-3 times (ES) after casting it so you can use it again.

HI/Comet - Randel/Margaretha 

SW/Quagmire - Always use it! Very helpful.

Ganbantien - To clear Gertie's poison and Flamel's fire thingy.

Drain life - need to use this to get full hp

White Imprison - when mobs are about to rape you, use it then senti frags

 

Recommended Gears:

+9 or higher Celine Ribbon (Engkanto/Tikbalang). It doesn't really matter what enchant, but having spell enchant is a +++ 

BDM/BFG/Sunnies (Engkanto)

+11 or higher Flattery Robe int4, int5, int6 (Angeling) (Pasana - To survive Celia's PWave and Seyren's IB)

+15 Survivor Weapon (Zakudam - For Demi Human) (Hell Apocalypse - For Demon)

+12 MBS (Alice) - Mainly your default shield

+8 Anemos (Alice) - For Performers and Cecil

+9 or higher Cloak of Survival (Antique/Arc Elder)

Celine Brooch (Elvira)

Magican Gloves/PDM (Elvira)
