Pirate's folly is a good alternative, it does not cost much, but you need to aoe kill quite effective to leech the sp. Also with incubus pet, it is also quite cheap now.

Other than that, rideword hat or vanargand. Or even evil dragon armor, but that costs a hell lot of money.

Also keep in mind that even with very good gear, in low sp pool, it is also possible to run out of sp.

RO is slow with QoL changes but they happen... how is the pet system still complete garbage over a decade later???

You can get unlimited Iris on White Lady Floor in ET so long as u don't kill the MvP itself. Slaves Spawn>Aoe>Greed>Repeat

Used that for a while. Its imperative to kill everything on one hit with that. Currently it takes me 2-3 hits to kill mobs in Mid TI. Not very cost effective plus Wind property attacks really hurt without a wind armor xD

Using a RK. Investing in a +10 EDA but waiting for one with a reasonable price. After the last refine event, people brought the prices up to 900M from 600M . Also, Gears costing hundreds of millions of zeny is not cheap XD

+9 vana let alone is a better SP leech then +10 EDA.

You could use a skin of gwiber or any other garment carded with the undead knight F card (these two specifically won't stack, but they do with earth deleter). 
 
Also, if your level allows it, a thanatos weapon ofc.

EDIT:

+10 EDA is higher SP drain chance than a +9 Vanargand, though jury's out on how much (depending on which site you look at, it ranges from 1% higher to 3% higher).

Higher refined GFSS with crap enchant can be pretty cheap, good to increase undead knight f bonus sp leech
