Looked at some/most of the guides:

Some of them mentioned Overlook water dungeon - I'm VIP.

Swordman lvl 32 eden gear no zeny, no healing items and that is it.

Is this dungeon a good place to be in for me.

Also i started some of the  Bounty Boards in Payon, when should i pop a Battle manual and turn in the quests for XP ? Once i finish all mobs hunting or ?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Regards

nop, overlook is hard even for well geared characters, (especially for non ranged ones) you better stick with bountys, get both bountys for elder willow and coco (geffen and prontera) and it should be a better experience.

The Orc Bounty from Geffen is awesome for 40+ characters.

At 70+ you can try either Evil Druid/Wraith/Dark Priest bounties in Geffen or Harpy bounty in Yuno.

If you want to run Overlook for the free card make an Assassin.

They have a super easy time in there with Grimtooth (the skill, not the weapon), a NPC Jamadhar, Eden Gears, some Wind Converters and a few Strawberries/Lemons.

Ran it on Assassin myself back when I started on iRO with no gears at all.

I also recommend taking a look at this guide here for newbie zeny making. Certs are always in demand.

For BMX it usually goes like this:

- finish Gramps/Bounty Board

- pop BMX

- turn in the finished quest(s)

- complete as many more bounties/gramps runs as you can

Note that this doesn't necessarily mean to complete the full bounty board. If there is only one good monster on it concentrate on that and don't waste your time with things that take ages to complete.

If you level on fish monsters pick fish damage.

If you level on brute monsters pick brute damage.

In the end it doesn't matter which you choose - I never bothered to enchant my eden gears even as a newbie.

Wizard is very squishy.

Moreso with no gears and no mass of healing items.

If you're well geared and the have zeny for pots Wizard is one of my favourites to run Overlook though.

But with no gears other than Eden you want to avoid damage at all costs - Assassin's Grimtooth allows to deal damage while avoiding to get hit.

Just need to drag a few mobs, then hide and Grimtooth away. ;)

Any suggestions on Cheap beginner gear that would be highly cost effective and help me get more into the game.

I used my 1500C on Overseas packages, but no luck - I got like:
1. Beezlebub Wing - which is good for me, not wasting zeny on fly wings.
2. Crappy manteau
3. Crappy boots

4. Heal Ring, not that bad for begginers

5. Shield

Overall what should i be aiming for.

Heroic Backpack
Cheap +9 Vananguard Helm / Rideword hat
etc etc.

If i get more KP what should i use them on, most cost effective ?

Currently lvl 91 Eden Gear Knight. Despite the high lvl Harpy make me cry. I'm thinking of making a dual client Priest to save on some pots....

Other that that no idea.

Regards

welcome to ragnarok. hope you're enjoying it.

you can try eden headquarter quests / gramps at your current state.

or go full str, use an elemental 2 hand sword, get decent dex, and bowling bash the harpies to death .

purchase portable scatleton egg + use fresh fish for potions (they are the most efficient at these levels)

kp tip:

wait for an event (refine events make you earn so much)

otherwise, i'd watch the market and sell it for 20m per 100k.

giant fly wings are the best to sell (but it depends on season)

instant millionaire is overseas care package luck

making a priest dual is what I did too at first. until i found out how slow that process is.

For KP, if you don't want to wait until refine event to sell some enriched ori/elunium boxes, better sell Heavy Lifter box .. the price quite good to convert for zenny

For now focus on buying heroic backpack first so you can start collecting money, and use fresh fish for healing, make a merchant character for buying and selling items, and just focus to make a 3rd job character .. and stick with eden equip until you got money to buy some gears

If i get a Scatleton pet, do i need octopus hat ?

And thanks for the posts! You guys are very helpful.

Also i was thinking of trading Enriched x50 boxes for items like:
1 box for +9 Heroci Backpack - any card
1 box for +9 Black Ribbon - any card

1 box for +9 Evild Dragon armor - any card

Are these deals okay ?

i dont think youll get these items by trading a single box, when there is no enriched hammer active. Even on event would still be difficult. All these items have pricing on ragial, you should search there to get an idea of most items value.

Well i did look them up and they seem to go around 300m ea and enriched 50 boxes seem to be ~ 300 m ea.
Anyways what other items would be more suitable to offer for 3k KP.

i would invest on 1500 kp for vanargand and safe to +7 it for now

no octopus hat isn't necessary, but you can invest on one.

I use peco peco headband, because speed > more lure and I also got myself +7 leaf cat hat (+30% more exp)

invest on these for more exp if you can sacrifice the headgear

+7 leaf cat hat

costume : goggles (cheapest +30% exp costume)

i wouldn't invest on an octopus, because it's only going to be useful from 1-99 or about some levels above 100. it isn't worth it

^ i dont recommend spending ur zeny on getting leech gear atm.

paying that much for leech gears right now is a waste. you will end up potting as you are right.

suggest that you spend your zeny on leech gear after your damage/ survivability, preferably when you have access to spammable AOE skills.

getting Costume goggle is must.

you can consider spending at 3k KP getting your hands on a +9 HBP and some decent leveling equips.

read up on fluffy cat thread, in the thief section that will teach you how to level up SUPER fast, after rebirth.

may consider doing overlook dungeon for that marc card to sell and earn some profit.

Wow i didn't knew these items even existed, so:

Goggle +30% XP

+7 Leaf Cat Hat + 25% XP

That's insane: i'll try to get those.

Much Appreciated.

Regards

Better just buy googles for cheap extra exp gear .. and for your 3K KP i think better sell Heavy lifter box if you want to make fast money .. looking the price on ragial quite good around 100M for each box

you will soon need to replace the leaf cat. so think about it.

your 3k KP wise. depending on how urgently you need the zeny.

just keep in mind that,

ready stocks depreciate

ready cash fluctuate

When I started, not even a yr ago, I focused on training first.

I just got my leaf cat hat, and I can train from 1-99 in like 1-2 hours with quests done and a lot of slacking.

For beginners, I find this so useful.

Specially when you're not only making 1 character in your whole game life.

leaf cat is the best exp leech headgear available, would use it on my Archbishop if it wasnt so expensive. Havent actually come up with an build but, with leaf cat, costume goggles, shoes exp card and the happy shield +8 with the proper card, that is actually 80% exp bonus and i do think you can reach 100%, that way you can leech with a faster character and get full exp on your support XD
