Greetings everyone, 

 

1. To start with I would like to ask what are the main differences between the many versions/servers that now exist? What would be best for a newbie? I did start a char on each but at least on start Chaos char felt more easy going. Classic and Re:Start felt like having less mobs on the map next to izlude and it slowed my leveling but since a start, well, is a start I dont know which version is best suited in the long run to someone new. In other words I seem to like chaos most but will listen to any advice if you think another version/server is best for new player.

 

2. Getting a bit confused on how I should spend my points, especially attributes. For example I got a swordman around lvl 16 on chaos, but should I spend the points in a way that swordman levels faster or in a way towards a build I chose to follow for endgame? Are there going to be free attribute resets on later job promotions?

 

3. I joined a clan(is it an npc guild?), I initially didnt even know how to talk, found its /cl after searching the net around and didnt even see what I typed till I figured the client has pre-disabled. However even if the Clan said 11 members none would respond at multiple efforts on different days. Likewise saying hello in general chat or even to people who seem leveling in the map next to izlude had no result. Same goes by talking in Prontera. Makes me wonder if everyone is afk most of the time or what. Also are there guilds that do take newbies? Generally I believe the social part is important on a mmo

 

4. I got a quest from the tutorial academy that I finished but simply stays in my log. Its the one you talk to dispensary therapist. What to do with it? For a fact I had done the quest and went through all academy npcs and quests

 

5. I found and started some bounties I found in Prontera. Not sure if a good way to level and get cash. Should I stick with it or you suggest anything else for swordman? Also enrolled to be able to enter thief bug dungeon but most times I went near its entrance I was 1shot by something looking like a zombie. Why would such a probably high level mob guard a low level dungeon entry?

 

6. Regarding shopping, I noticed of course the very many player shops in Prontera, but is there an auction house too? I had been buying gears from npc and refining them a bit as refining tutorial shown me in Izlude. Is it a good option or a waste of cash?

 

Also any further advice on things not listed/asked would be welcome. If you wonder I am generally a PVE player(though I PVP on games occasionally) that likes playing tank chars mainly(and sometimes healer). I am thinking to go for RG tank eventually. Yes I understand it may be hard for a new player but I dont mind leveling slower.

@ i believe most of your enquires can be found at irowiki.

 

playing renewal server you can skip alot of those unnecessary quests. dont waste your time on those.

just move on and level up asap. free gears from eden, check iro wiki on how to obtain them. 

i am not from chaos, but im sure there are some veterans there that wouldn't mind helping you if you ask them politely.

He/She is right, you should spend some time, take a look at iro wiki, it has pretty much all the answers to your questions. But to get you started, these should answer your questions:

4. This is how the current quest system goes, you just right click and move to inactive

 

5. You should stick with Eden quest and bounty quest, whichever works better at your current level. Try to take advantage of both if possible.

 

6. I remember there is/was auction house but no one really use it. Just stick with the vendors. For NPC gears, IMO this is completely unnecessary as you can get free Eden gears which lasts me until I am 3rd class. I remember I only bought some consumable items such as bwing/fwing/fresh fish before I am level 100.

I havent tried the eden teleporter yet since I didnt know where it would take me and if I| can go back easily

You can just walk out of the portal in Eden 1f to go back to the town you warped from. Eden is just like a small house with a couple of floors and some rooms and hallways.

Nice I didnt know that. And it has quests of my level?(almost lvl 20 now)
