Hello all,

i have a few question for my upcoming SVD Knight. I want to do WOE, Partyplay in groups as a tank and maybe (really MAYBE) MVP

My stats are and Gear

I only have a +7 double bloody Flamberg and +7 double bloody Claymore

and I mainly would use this both weapons.

I dont have any spears and i dont like to use one, before LK will release.

Now I am a bit uncertaint about, how to skill my Knight.

Here are two builds, which i have in my mind

First

Second

Third

Now my questions:

1. Is one of my Builds good to go or have you other advices?

2. How are my Stats and does it work for my wishes/duties?

Thanks for your help!

Greetings Lyker

You can go with 10 less points in VIT (79+11), as for WoE you'd be using the Miracle Elixir Buff (+10 all stats) anyway, which is enough to get you to 100 VIT. (Miracle Elixir you can get from the Cat NPC in the Eden Group map, it either costs 100k zeny or is free if you are VIP and lasts 1 hour, 3 uses a day for a total of 3 hours)

Remaining points you can put anywhere i.e.:

90 STR to easier 1 hit monsters (LUK to 33 if you leave INT at 1)

(^ my recommendation)

or

67 DEX higher to be able to hit MvP's easier.

or

sack LUK (1) -> INT (49) to ease PvM SP costs and get higher regen with Sohee Card.

(^ makes farming Raydrics less pot intensive)

or

sack INT (1) and get LUK (49) even higher.

STR doesn't need to be dividable by 10 or anything as every single point in STR gives you ATK, 30 Weight, etc. and there are no milestones where it's like "every 5 STR or every 10 STR".

Skill wise I would recommend this:

http://irowiki.org/~...?10IxJkHXbndncK

Provoke Lv 10 is more useful for WoE (though you'd most likely spam Lv 1 only to interrupt casts and not waste all your SP) than having Endure Lv 10 and as you will not be using spears don't get any of the spear skills.

I guess it's up to you either Provoke 10 & Endure 7 or the other way around.

Alternatively 1-Handed Sword Mastery and Magnum Break are also Lv 7 canidates.

For PvM/MvP you'd ideally use a properly carded 2-Handed Sword to 1 hit everything.

You would only use a 1-Handed Sword + Shield (for less dmg taken) if both 1-Handed and 2-Handed would require 2 hits to kill the monster.

So the ATK points from the 1-Handed Sword Mastery COULD be saved on to get Endure/Provoke to lv 10.

Magnum Break isn't your main damage skill for WoE, it's mostly used to get players out of Pneuma/Safety Wall or inflict statuses to several players at once.

So having it at only 240% ATK instead of 300% ATK won't make too much of a difference.

Personally I'd go for Magnum Break Lv 7 when your main goal is PvM/MvP.

Otherwise probably Endure or Provoke Lv 7.

http://irowiki.org/~...?10GXlKHXbxeBcK is an alternative skill build that's very effective for most anything you would want to do, and is also my personal skill build. Not to take away from Morlord's post, but certain skills like Magnum Break and Endure do not need to be maxed out, the extra points saved can be used for bolstering masteries or investing in utility skills. Statwise, luk is a great spillover stat and should be invested, and agi isn't a bad idea either in small amounts, especially if you're going sword and board.

Pushing doesnt work in WoE, Right? Isn't provoke better to range cast break Wizards and Monks?

I prefer Maxed Endure (it helps in high levels maps) and a total of 100 vit if you also plan to PVP or MVP with your Knight. While Miracle Elixir is good for woe. A stun immunity is good in PVP/MVP. I'd skip agi, int and luk. At end game levels one should be funded enough to mash blues. Luk is good for cheap attack if STR is at Base 90.

Spear Skills are mostly a waste but Spear Boomerang is good in PVP/war especially while dealing with people on Evil Druid Cards. With high str its actually possible to kill a Wizard or a hunter with just spear boomerang.

I have to disagree with the bit about spear skills, except maybe Spear Stab. The real issue is that BB is too good, making all the other skills a waste of time in most cases beyond stun utility. Str doesn't need to be higher than 80 either, the only stat I would suggest beyond 80 is vit and even then one could get away with 79+21 vit for WoE, which leaves room for other stats if OP wishes. Personally I would invest in vit, it's the most beneficial overall.

Higher Str is always good for MVPing/ Leveling or running a leech service. May save time with certain mobs and one can carry extra stuff.

5 or 10 points isn't noticeable enough to help, a better way to increase damage would be to upgrade your weapon/card combo. With lifters weight isn't an issue either. If atk bonuses for multiples of 10 str were still in, it'd be way different.

99 base vit. Spore necklaces. Peco/Unfrozen armours. Hide Amistr Bag.

Tiny bit of agi for aspd

Mega STR not needed.

Charge attack can replace spear boom and save you 9 skill pts.

True but Spear Boom works well in places where you cannot charge like Choke points in War Castles where the casters usually stand on a balcony.
