So as you may have noticed the Shadow Item quest has not changed according to the intended plan. There is good news and bad news about shadow items on their place in Renewal.

 

Bad News

 

At the studio's request we will stop the implementation of Shadow Item quests for Chaos and Thor.

 

Good News

 

At the studio request we are preparing a drops plan to add most of the first and second generation shadow items to instance drops all over the game. We have officially been requested to prepare and plan to upgrade/expand the loot of every daily instance in the game with shadow items. The current timeline for this is to implement the first changes for our anniversary event this year.

 

Broadly speaking the shadow items will matching difficulty curves of instances (if an instance is easy don't expect the best items there.) Currently the list of shadow items is being translated from Korean and it may take a couple weeks before they finish and we can get into the details stage of what goes into what instances with what monsters.

I appreciate you updating us, seemingly just after we posted the stuff in tomorrow's patch notes thread.

 

Not sure what I feel about it though.

biolab instance = physical, magical set

ET instance = Racial set

FW = insecticide set

Malangdo = Fish/Saharic Set

CLAB = Racial set

I think if champion monsters are to be given shadow items as well, it can be easily farmed by bots.

And what will the drop rates be like?

And will they continue to be tradeable?

 

My personal request would be to not make the drop rates lower than they are in kRO, the difficulty/rarity of the item should match what kRO intended it to be.

both idea can be combined. Can be from instances, champion mobs, or quests.

 

in my proposal, there are tiers of monsters which eligible to drop certain pieces. Low level champion mobs hv the lowest rate to drop, while high level champion mobs hv the highest rate.

I assumed as much as well, but I'm curious if some... new and unknown sets will randomly pop up. 

 

Studio has a habit of suggesting things that the server's population, for the most part, doesn't like.

I just bought +10Mali +10Phy and +10Spellflow, this is really bad news for me
