Hi, would like to ask a few things regarding Summoner Race/Doram

1. Is the patch about doram becoming demi-human still coming?
2. Are doram skills still reduced by 50% (woe mechanics)?

None, becoz they DGAF. I see players quit playing WOE and do PVMs instead coz of 1 hit doram skillzss in WOE. Not demi-human, even a player protocol supah bad ass 1 hit picky peck/sv_root whatever buffs you got there you'll die and cry in your savepoint. All you can do is, WSWSWSWSWSWSWSWSWSWSSSSSSSS

If you are the best why are you so concerned of some trivial matters?

First, there is no patch or update that will make them demi-humans. Players, they are considered players.

Second, in WOE everything is reduced. Whoever, whatever you are.

oh i see, so bellum will work on them? it's a pain to bring lots of equipment in woe.

And being the best doesn't mean you cant rant about trivial matters

Can someone atleast confirm the 50% woe skill damage reductions of doram skills, namely picky peck or etc? Atleast show some screenshots or whatever tests for proof or for discussion purposes.

Also, please confirm bellum/vellume weapons work on Doram, namely bellum/vellume flail or dagger since they should have debuff icons when affected.

1. Vellum/bellum weapons are not working at dorams. My pvp friends tried to smash me with bellum katz and it doesnt work, you can see this at my pvp video where in one of the guys use vellum at my doram but it didn't work well (at the end of the video)

Spoiler

(i guess that's vellum claw if i'm right)

now, there's some ongoing rumors where in WOE set is "working" at doram, so we need confirmation from the other players if woe set is working...well..i guess i'll just chat my guildmates for that...w8 a  minute

2. As far as i know, demi-human update for doram is a server custom(some server turns doram into demi-human but most didn't). kRO still recognize doram as Brute type. however, they created newer equipments which will work against doram as well as dorams will now able to wear the woe set (that's part of their "woe revitalization project") ..so yeah..its just another rumor in thor pvp who are just sick of dorams (but its real that there are servers who nerf dorams into demi-humans..but iRO got a lot of items against dorams like imuke shield)

3. Ranged damage are reduced by 25%   in woe not 50% .

Thank You Icarus05, that's very helpful. Atleast the bellum/vellume concern is confirmed. Anyway, just adding more details regarding woe

__________________________________________________

(Copy+paste from irowiki and a few notes)

Battle Mechanic Changes:

-Flee is reduced by 20%.

-Long range NORMAL attacks are reduced by 25%. (normal attacks)

-All skill-based damage except Gloria Domini and Gravitational Field is reduced by 50%. (refers to non-normal attacks and excludes certain other skills)

-Traps last 4 times as long.

-All knock back effects are disabled. Some skills like Cicada Skin Shed, Shadow Leap and Phantom -Thrust may lose some functionality due to this. (This prevents stoop from being cancelled by knockback. Knockback can easily remove stoop in PVP, but not in WOE)

-Equipment preventing skills to be canceled during casting (phen card and similar items) do not function.

_______________________________________________

With that being stated, has anyone else tried checking if Doram's picky peck(or other skills of Doram) "SKILL" damage has been reduced for WOE penalty by 50%? I'll try to ask some friends to test later on after im a bit more available. But if someone else can confirm right away, please do so.

Every skill is reduced by 50% in WoE, period. (except those listed there)
Doesnt matter if its a player skill, 3rd job, cat, monster skill, whatever. If it falls into one of the conditions to be reduced, it will be reduced. It's a skill, 50% cut on it.

OK, i tested on a 175 Doram and a 175 AB, both not properly geared. Now this is just a basic damage comparison, so I'm doing this with only a few tries with Picky Peck.

PVP settings:
Naked AB versus Naked Doram
1628 per hit = 8140
1628 per hit = 8140
1628 per hit = 8140

Random Clothed AB versus Clothed Doram
+10 double bloody Elaborate Foxtail with 2 Plump Earthworm Charm
9421 per hit 47105 (killed AB in one cast)
9739 per hit 48695 (killed AB in one cast)
average: 9580

WOE Settings:
Naked AB versus Naked Doram
31242 HP -> 21482 remaining after 2 casts = 9760 damage or 4880 per cast or 976 per hit
31242 HP -> 21482 remaining after 2 casts = 9760 damage or 4880 per cast or 976 per hit
(2 casts is from automatic double cast, i can't control it)

Random Clothed AB versus Clothed Doram
+10 double bloody Elaborate Foxtail with 2 Plump Earthworm Charm
31788 HP -> Died (could not check)
31788 HP -> 3948 remaining on first cast 27840 or 5568 per hit

Basic Damage Comparison:
naked PVP versus naked WOE
1628 per hit versus 976 per hit
applying basic math, 976/1628 = 0.5995 ~ 60%
meaning, there is an approximate 40% reduc from PVP to WOE

Clothed PVP versus Clothed WOE
9580 per hit versus 5568 per hit = 0.5812 ~ 58.12%
meaning, there is an approximate 41-42% reduc from PVP to WOE

Conclusion:
I don't know how the game calculates the 50% WOE Skill penalty, but yeah, its somewhat there. I can safely say this is confirmed, that there is in fact a WOE Skill damage penalty for Picky Peck. Where the other 10% went, I'll never know.

To those who can test this better, please do so.

GVG room was never updated to 50% reduction, so the reduction in there is still 40% like it was in PreRE.

Oh wow, thanks, i was never informed of this. And now i am. Thank You.

All that's left now is to address the bellum/vellume issue by the GM Team to treat Dorams as "players". It's been around a year since Dorams were released i guess. It should be about time to address this issue.

Yah...even though i main doram these days, i really want to fix that bug since switching gears will be a direct pain (and i'm going back to Rune knight because i'm already bored with doram so lets fix that bug  /gg )

So you are saying everyone uses SCs? The points are correct but it doesn't help the fact that not everyone play SCs.

Magic doram (including FS hybrid) is kinda good these days as players are getting softer in magic (in pvp/woe scenario) and pnuema is nothing to deal with sv stem or cn meteor
