I could spend the rest of this year bashing WP but I would like to find something else to talk about.

I have been playing RO since its first year anniversary. I would have to say that a good 3 of those years were 10 hours days seven days a week. Yea, you can call me an RO addict but I would not trade the time that I spent with my friends even though I now have a life long pain to show for it..

This did come with a price. My wrist after about the 3rd year started to hurt really bad. I know for a fact that it was playing RO that cause my current condition. I took a 3 month break when I noticed it started to get so painful that I would have to walk away from the computer for some hours before the inflammation subsided.

I am curious if anyone in the community has had to deal with this same issue. Does anyone else suffer from this same misfortune?

Then maybe you should stop playing for real, just like how you said in your New Years Resolution and a couple of days ago where you totally bashed Campitor. :) Just a friendly advice in case things continue to get worse.

Sorry to hear that... you should see a doctor about it if you haven't already.

(Not trying to be snarky here, I mean that)

I would like to have it fixed if possible but I live in America where working 40 hours a week hardly pays the bills even with a degree.

For me, it is like telling a homeless person holding a sign saying hungry have no money and a person telling them if your hungry go buy some food.

Well, then you should try to avoid playing for a while as u have been doing to keep ur wrist safe. I had some similar pain but it happened to be related to some nerves so it had nothing to do with gaming at the end.
And yeah, its so sad that to get health u have to pay tons.

I'm glad it doesn't hurt u since a while.

You need a life change. No more internet gaming and tons of exercise. Focus on building up your career and buying a house or two so you can retire nicely. Then come back to online gaming when mouses don't exist.

Actually, yes, given most everything I do (even work) heavily involves computing, it comes and goes for me.

What's happening is mostly an ergonomics issue. If you're working at your computer and your wrist is bent a certain way, it puts pressure on the median nerve. You can buy strap-on braces and gloves which straighten your wrists to prevent this. Over time that'll help reduce the inflammation and you should start feeling better. Thing is, you need to remember to wear them when you go to bed, because your wrists can often get bent in awkward ways while you sleep, and that'll just continue to aggravate the nerves.

It helps if you start doing that sort of thing as soon as you notice tingling or odd sensations in your wrists/hands/arm. That's what I do whenever I start getting that feeling; I break out the braces/gloves and wear them until the sensation goes away. I've never let it get to a point where it's so bad that I need to see a doctor.

I try to minimize computer usage since my job consists of custom work on the computer. When I want to play sometimes it gets tedious because since I work all day on the comp and then try to put hours into the game, after a while of doing this I have had drawbacks. I developed a small bit of tendonitis and oh my god, my arm was like death. D: However I gave myself a break from the game and it is feeling better. However, if I were you since you live in the states go to the hospital and apply for charity care. I would also apply for Medicaid and Medicare if you are still doing anything school related then regardless of the job you have you qualify for Medicaid.

I highly suggest researching some of those avenues. Don't let a bill scare you because health is really important and money shouldn't stop you from getting healthy, I do understand how expensive it is to live in the USA. I live in jersey, it's dumb expensive here, even in the poor areas.

i have also experienced a similar problem, im trying to exercise more and made macros to minimize the amount of repetitive inputs to alleviate the problem, other thing that i noticed was that if i focus on using my arm more instead of my wrist for most movements its really better, i got this tip after watching an video about sensibility in overwatch XD, but the truth is that after feeling my wrists hurt for a week i reduced my playtime drastically to avoiding happening again.
