I didnt have time in the morning to test my newly acquired gloves, so i just quickly slapped an elvira on it and put it on and used recog CL on an ice wall. To my surprise i only did 57k wheras my physic Pendant of Maelstom was hitting at 60k. I can understand if the mdef bypass doesnt work on it, but seeing that i gave up 6% matk for 5% element damage, the damage difference shouldnt have been that big. Am i missing something? I'll try it out on actual monsters when i get back from work, till then, im hoping someone can give me an explanation for the results i got.

the 1% matk didnt give you that 3k dmg that is just variance in dmg even if you recog spell there can still be a difference in dmg and ye glove works try it on a high mdef mob

I did 3 tests though per item. The psychic pom gave me 59k-61k damage. The gloves gave me 56k-58k. It might be possible that the gloves dont work on an ice wall since its not a player or a monster.

Im back now and I did some further test:

I tested recog CL on ice walls again and apparently phychic pendant of maelstrom does beat it out in damage.

Next i tested on porings, where both accessories gave me a consistent 137k-148k damage.

Next i tested on a higher mdef monster, greatest general. The pendant did 65k-68k damage, and to my relief, the gloves gave me 73k-76k damage.

So the gloves do work! But i still dont get why it's modifiers didnt work on an ice wall. I tested an elvira card's effect on ice walls before and got the results i wanted. Does this mean it only works for monster and players? What about guardian stones and barricades in woe? Are those affected or not?

But the wind magic boost shouldve taken effect the same way the elvira card does, yet it does significantly lower.

How good are the gloves in pvp/woe? How much mdef does the average player even have?

It wasn't working on PVP/WoE, I don't know if they'll fix it to work, but should be good. 100 MDEF is popular in PVP/WoE.

ah so % matk and elemental matk arent the same so then how much ele matk % would diminish from gioia if you had 2 elvira and 2 tikbalang or 2 elvira 2 tikbalang and full survivor set?

Are you sure? The reason i even got it was because the descriprion suddenly changed that it worked on players. The gloves were even sold at much cheaper prices before

But in general do people have 20-30 mdef? Greatest generals have 30 mdef and im guessing the 20.77% beside it is the matk reduction from it. Seems like the 5 mdef of porings was enough to make phychic pendant = magician's gloves in damage.
