Hello folks!
As you may have noticed February is coming to a close and we are approaching March.
First this is what is officially on the docket to do in March.
Some things to note:
- There will be bug fixes
- Were trying to get more up to date costume enchants but the studio hasn't made any commitments yet.
- DST Time change is happening this month.
- Most likely this means that the fixed time quest cool downs will be able to return.
- Were going to start changing the way we announce Random Boxes for OCPs.
- Each item will be placed into categories as follows.
S Class 0%-1%
Rare Class 1% - 2%
Semi Rare 2% - 5%
Uncommon 5% - 10%
Common 10+%
- The exact values may end up changing from box to box depending on the number of contents.
Lastly a note about volunteers:
First what does a volunteer do? Quite simply put volunteers help us with tasks. With the VMods it is forum moderation, with Fungineers it is quest story concepts, with the description crew it is cleaning up description issues from the past.
Okay but that means they get to talk to staff more can't they abuse that? No, communication does happen but very rarely do vmods or other volunteers get to know what were doing. We never intentionally give out information that can be abused in order to gain an unfair advantage and routinely check to see if some how leaks happen and are abused. We are happy to report that so far we have found no abuse with our volunteers in recent memory. Yes we checked into the accusations regarding Tokens and other EMB pre maintenance and no one from volunteer linked guilds stockpiled items in advance of the update. We even checked going back several months to make sure our plans didn't leak/were abused.
But I hear X guild is secretly controlling Campitor? All decisions absolutely are made by the studio or the production team. Players are welcome to give suggestions through PMs or on the forums but ultimately it is staff responsibility to decide what goes in game.
In summary, we don't give our volunteers special powers/treatment beyond the volunteer task requirements (obviously vmods get forum abilities).
