I'm in a similar situation to u, except my error messages r in korean when i try to run the game via the patcher. Just run the dragonsaga.exe application located in ur release folder and u should be able to play normally.

Done it a while ago but it still shows the message :(

I guess you get the message when you start the patcher? This is not a new message, this is a message from the original devs. I can't read Korean but I can tell you what exactly is the problem if you can post a screenshot of the message box.

Yep, only when i start through the patcher which is weird since it didn't appear on the day the patch released.

Okay, check if your Patcher.exe is write protected. That seems to be the case.

If so, remove the write protection and try again :)

If this does not help download the most current patcher.exe from here:

https://drive.google...iew?usp=sharing

and replace your old one with the downloaded one.

I don't know what went wrong but the game shuts down without any message before the "credits" ("ESRB Label and WarpPortal") showing up.

When using PatcherPatch, the error code is 1.

Doesn't work on my side.

Hm,,, that is stange, because this is the most up-to-date patcher.exe. It shouldn't even start the PatcherPatch tool

But I will upload it again, maybe something went wrong.

Try again:

https://drive.google...0PFX2SNB2d_5djT

make sure you are replacing the patcher.exe for the correct installation if you have more than one.

If you don't have an old Patcher.exe just copy the downloaded one to your Dragon Saga installation folder.

Just in case, I checked the numbers in the "Patch Ver." and "Game Ver.", but they're the same as updated.

Also, I did mention "PatcherPatch" but I meant to say that I used the regular first (but the said problem appeared), then I wanted to try "PP" but it's still the same, the only difference being that it loaded the "Korean error code 1" before lauching what looks like the regular Patcher.

I'm using the one in Steam's folder, maybe there's something related?

Can you please post a screenshot of the Patcher.exe after you started it?

What you can do as well is to check the properties of Patcher.exe (right mouse click and look at the properties), then in the Window which appears check "details".
The Patcher.exe has to be Version 2.0.0.0.

The process is like this:

When you start the patcher.exe it checks if a new updated patcher.exe is available (this is independent from the game patch).

If this is the case the patcher.exe downloads the updated patcher and then starts the patcherpatch.exe.

If no new patcher.exe is available the patcherpatch.exe is not run. But the patcherpatch.exe is the tool which generates that Korean error.

Which means for any reason your patcher.exe "thinks" it's outdated and tries to download the patcher.exe and starts the patcherpatch.exe.

The patcherpatch.exe gives an error because no update has been downloaded.

That is kinda a weird issue.

If you mean the Patcher "before pressing <GAME START>" then here, with the proper "2.0.0.0":

Spoiler

The regular Patcher doesn't seem to have changed/updated anything.

The Korean message didn't come when starting Patcher.

And any other time when using this one.

The same thing as at the beginning: the game's window pops up, loading the game in a lag, but goes down even before showing the credits.

Please download those 2 files

and copy them into your Dragon Saga installation Folder -> subfolder Table
overwrite the existing ones

that should fix the problem

I keep getting a message that says "client needs to be patched. Please patch client first." But i already patched the client then opened the game through the patcher. This happens after the character selection screen then the message shows while loading. Help please.

I dunno if this is a bug or not but in Expert Drakos during the Paris fight the Light Pillars attack might be a bit too up-tuned.

They hit me for over 50,000 damage and hit me multiple times in quick succession so it basically dropped me in 1 touch. I wouldn't mind so much but they have a tendency to spawn on you or in your path.

If it is, well you might have had a typo in damage scaling

If it isn't, well I know where the "expert" comes from.

Solution couldn't work (I didn't even know there was a thing about that kind of situation).

I'll be busy, so I'll try the "re-install" option on Friday.

i dont mind those pillars onehitting, at least some challange and very rare that they actually spawn in you, if you see the animation just stand still, this time you actually have to care about more mechanics than just damage reflect.

i did far more than 50 paris expert runs and they spawned a maximum of 2 times in me while standing still.

still if this could be prevented would be nice

Well some classes can deal with it. Like emergency exit, power weave, burrow. It would be nice if all classes get a unique pve skill to avoid instant kill skills so new options of making bosses could arive. Like at second phase he got a skill instantly killing everyone and all have to have such a skill.

why should all classes get it? its still an MMO game, i dont mind not having one but having a class having one, sadly that class sharing it is more a handicap than a help if you farm expert with them
