its asking for an 200px or larger image i am using an 200px image but it doesnt work wtf is this?

The forum software is funky sometimes. You will need to upload the image to somewhere like Imgur.com and use the URL import option to set an avatar on the forums. This process takes a while so you may want to leave the tab with the image being imported open a while and make a second browser tab to browse the forums until it is complete.

You will need to use the option highlighted in this image. The Upload from file option does not work properly.
I suggest using Chrome as your browser for this.
Upload your image to https://imgur.com
Right click the image after it is uploaded to imgur and click Copy image address
Return to the WP site and paste the URL of the image into the first image's highlighted area, "Import from URL", Press Import.
It will take time to process after pressing import. The forum is slow at adding avatars.
