They really should have made a new item for the consumables. The server is flooded with existing Takoyaki, and to meet the requirements of the achievement all you needed was 500 "Poring Pretzels". 1m Takoyaki would cover all 2000 "active" users and I am sure we probably have twice that on the server prior to this event at the very least. I mean you could FORCE yourself to experience the quest but is there really a point when you can just turn in the item for the reward in less than a minute.

Hey, i got your point, don't take me wrong, i like seeing people complain about stuff, it's a sign that they care.
But, why don't you just do all the ingredients hunting and keep redeeming it every 30mins? 
I had like, 20 tako on my storage, i had to farm all the ingredients and it was fun, i even got a Penomena card while farming tentacles, make it worth yourself!

don't get me wrong im still farming it fast, its quite easy to do it tbh, still unsatisfying. I had like 150 oranges in my storage, if i want i can just farm more of those and boom easy pretzels.

I too, had very little Takoyaki so I farmed mine and redeemed the title and costume.

 

You don't need to farm like crazy though...just go to Moscovia and stock on Acorns, go to Umbala and stock up on Grains, if you need Empty Bottles any Tool shop will do.  Divide each item between your alts and just farm the SW Prontera Pub's Pretzels.

 

Regarding how satisfying or unsatisfying the Achievement is, I guess YMMV.  Some players complain about RNG in prizes, others complain about difficulty, and others complain on the prize itself.

 

(At least we didn't get something like the Malangdo Takoyaki Festival, which only encouraged leeching from naive players who did the actual farming)
