In this case, its better to use a 1h sword in MH (properly carded) against mid/large monsters, If I dont have a Drake card, right?

 

edit: also, does anyone knows the damage formula of MA? I made a quick search on the internet but couldnt find anything. I just want to know if its better to use a Scalpel or a 4slot dagger in the offhand, considering both are properly carded.

Check size penalty for each weapon on iROWiki

MA formula also on iROWiki...

For offhand you can wear any weapon (preferably a dagger so you don’t loose much ASPD) filled with modifier cards. Offhand ATK doesn’t count much for skills.

I know about size penaltys, I just want to check with pros before doing any investment on weapons =p

 

I didnt find MA formula on iROWiki, there is just the skill description. What I need to know is if using a low atk 4 slotted dagger is better than using a mid atk 3 slotted dagger, I mean, does the increased % from the extra card compensate the atk loss?

That will really depend on lots of variables such as how much ATK and %modifiers you already have, in terms of diminishing returns... Ideally you would need a calculator, we had one but it is not publicly available anymore.

For MA I would suggest you to wear a sword in main hand due to size penalty, RTE is a good choice, but the best option would be a Vicious Mind Dagger with Drake enchants. For offhand I wouldn’t wear nothing but an unrefined Main Gauche full of modifiers.
