As the title says, i've reset my Warlock once more now with all this new sets around and was curious what are the nice builds to play or what ideas could you guys give me to make one, currently have the 59 Skill Points from 3rd class and just need to allocate them to test it out

In general there are two skill builds that are recommended for WLs, the no-ultimate spell build and tetra vortex build, the latter has two variants(one with low level crimson rock, the other with low level drain life):

No ultimate Skill: http://irowiki.org/~...aFqSaSeBdohNIn1

Tetra Vortex(pro Crimson Rock): http://irowiki.org/~...aFqSrceBdobnIn1

Tetra Vortex(pro Drain Life): http://irowiki.org/~...aFqSrfeBdobnIn1

Each build/variant has its advantages and disadvantages. Tetra Vortex has been proven to be incredibly useful in Bio 5, and it makes you more versatile in MVP fights. However, by choosing Tetra Vortex you have to make a trade off between Crimson Rock and Drain Life. If your WL will be doing bio 5 only or mostly, then Tetra Vortex Build with maxed Drain Life is suitable to you, since you will hardly need Crimson Rock anyway. If your WL is meant to do other instances, and you have obtained a few True KK Cards, you may favor the other two variants. It wont hurt to make 2 WLs, with one WL on No Ultimate Skill Build, while the other on Tetra Vortex with maxed Drain Life Build.

So sad the fact that you gotta choose between one of them, either CR or DL when it comes to Tetra Vortex build... otherwise you'll only have 2 skill points for Tetra which is what i had before, thanks for the reply Ygg

Ur welcome, thats why I recommended you to make 2 WLs with different skill builds, so you can use them for different purposes.

I have 4 of them, currently. Actually 5, but one had her leveling halted by my sloth. The No-Ultimate Spell Build is my favorite one.

My main WL uses the no-ultimate spell build, but from my observation from my friends and guildies who also play WL, it does seem that for WLs aiming for bio 5 only or mostly, the Tetra Vortex build with Drain Life(without Crimsin Rock) is the optimal. You dont need Crimson Rock in bio 5, while Tetra Vortex and Drain Life help significantly there. If you build a WL alt to farm cursed fragments in bio 5, this would be the recommended skill build. But if you have WL main like me and you use WL for more than just bio 5, the no-ultimate spell build will be my recommendation. Bio 5 is nice, but WL can do more than just bio 5, and you can still do bio 5 reasonable well even without Tetra Vortex.

Is comet not really useful nowadays? I am experimenting with survivor set if its still viable. If not, I will just reset mine with tetra vortex once i reached 175.

depends on the mob, situation, aiming for.

I always carry:

+14 La' cryma Stick+pororoca for low floors and MVPs (jack frost wide area and good for low lvl mobs)
+14 Crimson Rod+Temp Int for other skills and other gameplay type, like Celine Kimi, some others for Soul Expansion/crimson rock/any skill xD
+9 Thanatos for step1/step2 at HTF, other situations just for save pots. deal good matk dmg and has chance to restore HP.
+10 survivor rod (int) for the new survivor set, in some cases its good to chain lightning./Earth Strain.

you have to choose your sets, every time I gear my WL takes around 5 deals (no joke) to gear for almost any situation (sets, shadow gears, elemental armors)

overall, I think mostly use the la'cryma for low mobs(JF) and crimson rod for higher mobs.(CR, SE, etc etc)

Im not rich, i dont have sunflower boy nor MVP cards, just a mistress for deluge :/

EDIT:
what I always carry for any situation, include item for increase agi, teleport, costume with enchants, perfec dodge set, survivor set, backpack for greed, etc etc etc:

mistress for deluge :/

Wut. You know subsequent casts on the same map don't consume gemstones for (skill level) mins, right?

I know, i have to carry at least 10 gems blue and yellow, and thats all the gems I carry, only for ganbantein, the rest just deluge and i think restock these 10 gems every two weeks, ganbantein its very rare to use. I have to deal with overweight often.

idk if i'm wrong but... Did you try this at bio5?:
Lord of Vermilion/Meteor Storm and these skills have wide area, the mobs at bio5 cast these with you at the center, but seems (I might be wrong) if after they cast on you this, you use ganbantein, seems (have to test, i was like wuuuth?) seems to cancel the Lord of Vermilion and meteor storm with ganbantein in the cell you were step. on bio5 grinding, i carry a bit more gems. Can any1 confirm this with proof? this will be kinda weird

back to the thread, deluge for ET and any case, without worry about to carry more bgems.

Spoiler

I dunno, man. +25% SP consumption on top of Recognized Spell and Spellflow (+55% total with +30 Spellflow set) is pretty significant. Wouldn't you just end up carrying extra SP items to compensate for that, thereby losing any weight that was saved from not carrying gems?

I'm just assuming you're defaulting it here, but maybe you don't do that, and maybe Soul Drain is enough to upkeep your SP regardless. I wouldn't know since I don't put points into that.

You're right about that. Ganbantein will remove any ground units placed by skills in a 3x3 AoE (though it's either 7x7 or 9x9 when cast by monsters, don't remember exactly), so yes, it does remove LoV and Meteor Storm.

yea I default the la'cryma set + sunnies with mistress for MVPing, got insomniac for kimi and one more set with m.purple. grinding mostly with insomniac or m.purple. I should made two glasses more for lichterns cards, so can get even more matk.

spellflow reduces the SP consumption upon each refine.

So, 25% from mistress, +8% on spellflow set at +9, +25% on recognized, 58% is a thing, never tough a lot about it, but rarely ran out of SP, only if you play with AoE mostly than designed spell, JF for sure drains you in a good rate, but still playable. Running out of SP just change to other skill, then all the way with JF on low lvls. tested on a Lv100 WL at Low TI. without mistress and still +33% SP consume, still playable for a while before ran out of SP. at 175 is not a problem due to pool and sp regen.
