like old purple box that when you open it, it gives you another old purple box... well in this case OCP box that have Abyss Dress icon gives you Abyss dress which happens very rare

I didn't care about the icon and the no 'ok' confirmation since I want to open anyway. But it being vendable and using the Abyss Dress icon is really setting down the bait for buyers.

^ i don't think player's reputation matters in this picture. 
if you have the time to look at the vendor's name, I don't see why you don't have time to read the item name.

classic scenario, happened to me a few times.
I was simply greedy and buying it w/o looking because of the profit in re-selling. 
the profit margin is just too great that in my mind " i need to buy it before someone else does"

knowing the seller chances are it might have been possible to politely ask and request a refund.

 

but the issue right now is, this thread. because it's made known
anyone could have pm-ed the seller claiming that they brought the item and request for "refund"
it's difficult for the seller right now to identify the buyer.

It was mentioned that the vend name was "Abyss", thus the buyer's urge to buy the item at 1b. Both sides are wrong anyways but that kind of seller attitude shouldn't be tolerated. Taking advantage of the exploit lmao

Yeah, I don't see a problem with it unless your shop is named "ABYSS DRESS 1B RUSH NO LOWBALLS ZENY ONLY" or something like that lol.

Many scams are designed to be ridiculous and obvious scams to 99% of people. Scammers want to target that ultra-gullible 1% for the huge payoff. A scam like the story in OP only needs to happen once for a considerable profit.

 

Most of us see how ridiculous the 'chat room GM-recruiting' scam is but despite copious warnings all over the forums and games, we still see people falling for it regularly.

I think its a good think as long as its priced reasonably. Like 120-150m or if you wanna be OP 200m. 

 

Since WPE is being priced at 400-500m, 300kp - 120m to 150m (ignoring wpe to kp bonus).

 

Just don't name it Abyss Dress.

Just want to share my experience and I've learned from it

 

I did bought a strawberry in mouth instead of strawberry mouth guard (knowing that the price was for strawberry mouth guard) seriously thinking that it was the item I want to buy and the title of the SHOP has strawberry. Unfortunately I drag and bought the item but shocked after knowing it was not a mouth guard. sob sob sob

 

I did file a ticket reporting an scam (with PICTURE of the Shop Title and price) but the reply was not favorable for me as WARPPORTAL says it was not a scam and a legit - there is nothing they can do with the issue and goodbye to my zeny.

 

Lesson Learned : do not do shopping when you are feeling sleepy , check first before buying

The fact that they recycle item sprites is what is ridiculous in my opinion.
