So, I'm leveling a Geneticist and I currently have MOB scarf, It's just fine/decent to keep it or should I try getting a Tengu set? =o

definitely tengu set for leveling. mob scarf isn't that bad tho especially if you're sharing it with other alts (e.g matk or crit classes)

CC =Tengu Set / AB = Mob Scarf (they already mention it here ...><!)

might be applicable to you, but i chose mob scarf mainly to force myself maximize the matk added. nice for instacast without the foods as well as slots on the mids is a huge plus for certain situations

 

investment wise if you'd only plan to use tengu on the gen, which is still your choice but, id say nah

If you need instat get a cylinder hb.

Tengu set = higher cc damage + hp leech
Mob set = higher ab damage + other bonus + can be use by other classes.

IMO 

mob scarf's effect will get it's full potential only when you're

 

crit type (luk str type)

magic (int dex type)

aspd (agi vit type) - useless IMO

 

have already calculated general mob scarf builds and figured out 2

 

120 120 40 40 - can be interchanged 60 100 (cannot be interchanged)

or

120 120 80 80 20 60 - cannot be interchanged

 

also tried to mix it up with perverse demon mask, and results aren't really good so far for maximizing mob scarf effect

Tengu is useful during leveling but when you're 175 start mvping and try bio5 soloing, you need instacast cc & ab. Then 120 str is a waste imho cause 120 dex 120 int even not enough with old midas.

Therefore for max lvl i wouldnt suggest 120str stuff like temp.str.boots or tengu.

It's very easy to nocast nowadays even with base 110 Int because of p.demon mask.

Do you mind sharing your gears? I'm having trouble getting instant cast without food or VIP buffs. I'm a casual player who doesn't play very often so it doesn't make sense to get VIP for the buff if I only login every now and then.

you need +20 foods

if you're serious about insta cast you really need foods. minimum dex+20 (so you can counter mandragora howling at pvp)

Maximum CC DPS build = TENGU

IMO, I rather put more into INT during leveling phases. Reaching that 120Str early on for tengu doesn’t make much sense to me.

the 120 str max the usage of the tenguSet

 

120 str = +10% Range Damage +10% Size damage + HP leech for Scroll

 

ppl always forgetting the scroll can be used for HP leech and it leeches very well.

Just different preferences for different people.

 

I prefer Mid Slot & toy syringe during leveling.
