Good day everyone.

//Some intro:

-Been playing RO since around 13 years ago. (I-I'm not that old.. haha..)

-Stopped playing for about 1&1/2 or 2 years now.

-Has several iRO characters (I believe it's Thor Server), third jobs are: Sura, Ranger, GX, RK with decent(?) leveling gears, and I do have plenty of experience using them, but perhaps I'm a bit outdated now.

-Has... zero character whatsoever on the NA(?) server one (I think it's called "Chaos Server"?)

*Has childhood dreams to defeat every MvP monster in the game, hunting them Episode by Episode either solo (if I can manage) or in a party (for the newer, tougher ones), and get a maxed out character to enjoy all the quests and their interesting, memorable and engaging stories, Episode by Episode as well.

*Want's to fulfill those dreams... this year or even next year. Will most probably spend this year doing the necessary preparations though.

**Can only play very casually until May-June 2018, and semi-daily starting around July 2018, and perhaps on an even more active frequency next year.

//Some questions:

-I haven't finished patching my game yet (years worth of patching right there) so I don't know the info about this but; which server in iRO has the most population of players right now? (Gotta ask because I think less active players=less people who can help me in my childhood dream fulfillment, or can also be other way around: less active players = more focused players who can help me XD).

-What Job Class (aside from the Genetic tree because I lack the funds) can take on most of the MvP monsters in the game (Solo), all the while not requiring too much Consumables (i.e. HP and SP Recovery) consumption? (I don't mind the "Buff Foods" and stuff that much, as long as I can get them in the Item Mall/Farm in-game)

-I said "most" above... but are there any MvP monsters I should watch out for if I am to use the job class that has been chosen as the answer on my question above? And what job class can be used to counter those MvP monsters that this "general MvP-hunter job class" cannot take on solo (and perhaps requires a party to defeat)?

-What are the gears for those job classes so I can use them for MvP hunting, as well as where and how to get them (i.e. daily quests on the newer maps and contents? As well as the names of the quests and their location and general tips on doing them)? As much as possible I would prefer something that can be farmed from Daily Quests, and of course, if they're not enough to take on a specific MvP monster, something that I can/should buy from other players as priority gears for this MvP-hunting adventures.

-Any news/updates about this?: https://forums.warpp...al-dec-19-2017/

I mean, do we have the possibility to get these on this server as well? I do like the option to be able to change the sprites because some of them looks really beautiful.

----------------

BTW, I'm also looking for people who will be able to help me achieve those childhood dreams of mine, or even maybe a guild? XD

Let me know if you're interested.

Whew that's a lot of questions so I'll take it down step by step.

1. Chaos Renewal has the greater population between that and Thor. You'll have to start out from the bottom but if you join a good guild or group of friends it really helps a lot.

2. No class can MvP without pots or consumables but Guillotine Cross is the easiest to keep alive without wasting much zeny. You'll still need to use Poison Bottles for the Enhanced Deadly Poison buff but it's cheaper than spending on bombs.

3. If you gear right as a GX then technically there shouldn't be a problem with any of the MVPs in the game. Of course you have to watch out for element and HP but that's normal if you plan to MVP anyway.

4. For a reference on GX gear you can go to the thief class forums. Double Dagger is the best for MVPing but Katar is good for cheap leveling with Rolling Cutter. For expensive leveling you can continue as a double dagger GX and use +7 Enforcer Boots with the Meteor Assault skill.

5. JRo Sprites are unique to the Japanese Ragnarok Online build. IRo uses the Korean Ragnarok Online build, it does not have the authority to use JRo Sprites unless Warpportal can convince Gravity Korea to get it from JRo.

6. There are several guilds that can help if you check the guild recruitment forum. Look out for Social and Casual guilds as they're usually more helpful for new players.

I too started to play this game seriously because of MVPs X3 And it's the drive that kept me going until I was able to actually do it. It is such a fun journey. Glad you wanna embark it.

Gene is the most popular choice for MVPing and for good reasons. BUT, it is expensive as heck, both for equips and consumables. It's a hefty investment and Merchant isn't the most beginner friendly class to level. If you wanna MVP fast and cheap, GX (Thief) is the better option. It requires minimum investment to start wrecking some damage. Also, for having so few skills, it's super versatile. Also, Thieves are easy to level up.

Honestly, GX is capable of taking literally any MVP, but of course some are easier than others. Between GX and Geneticist you can solo any MVP really. But it also comes down to your preferences. Other noteworthy MVP-capable classes are Ranger, Rune Knight, Royal Guard and Sura.

-What are the gears for those job classes so I can use them for MvP hunting, as well as where and how to get them (i.e. daily quests on the newer maps and contents? As well as the names of the quests and their location and general tips on doing them)? You can indeed get all the decent beginner equips from farming quests and mobs in regular. And if not, you can always buy them from other players, which is a pseudo farm. Won't go into details of ALL the equips you may need here, but feel free to ask in the Thief subforum for more in depth info. But in general, GX'es can get a decent set from just taking quests.

It seems we're not getting them as costumes per-se, but will be able to be chosen as an Alt Costume when you "transcend" your 3rd class. It's an update I'm curious about and do not know when it's coming.

You can check the Social subforums to find a guild you'd like. If you're interested in otter options, I can help you with that. MVPing is such a fun thing to do and I'm glad to find fellow MVP enthusiasts.

I see so Chaos has more population. DX I also have to take into consideration the time and WPE I've spent on my Thor accounts thus far haha.

And thanks a lot for that answer regarding the job class and the possible builds on it, I'll definitely check out the Thief subforum.

As for JRo Sprites... aww.. but still hopefully they can implement that in the future? Ahaha, I don't know if that will be possible though...

Hmm, the Guild threads in Chaos server definitely has a lot of organized guild threads, such as yours... but a quick look at Thor's, you will notice most of them are people looking for parties/guildmates haha.

I think it's quite a good thing that I still have one or two friends in Thor server that are still playing up to this day, and one of them has an active WoE guild; despite the population, he offered to help me with my goals here too, which is nice. So I suppose I'll just continue on with my Thor Server accounts. Anyway thanks a lot for your answers!

Hello, I'm glad to have found a kindred spirit as well here. XD

As for the population; yeah... but unfortunately, I do not have much funds (and also time) to spare on a new character now haha, perhaps when there is a Janeway or something (despite how other people might hate it) then just boost level my character from Trans to 3rd Job with the help of the leveling guides I found in this forum (mostly involved BMX3 during turning in of daily quests/bounties)... I don't mind creating a new character on Chaos server in the future, but for now I'll make use of the characters I've invested a lot so far in Thor.

As for the Job Classes, cool; good thing I have those Job Classes that you mentioned (except Geneticist haha). For now, I'll try leveling both my GX and Ranger at the same time (Dual Client here I go XD).

As for the Equip, it seems Sapha set is still quite popular; I have it on my GX if I remember correctly, minus the enhancements and enchants... will probably just buy them. There also seems to have new equips this latest episode. I'll be sure to ask around in the Thief Subforum.

Well hopefully WP will consider the option to provide more customization with the sprites through those JRo sprites in the future. XD

I also did checked out the Guild Subforums; I did found a lot on Chaos server, but almost none in Thor (lol). Hmm, it seems you're playing on Chaos while my characters are in Thor, I'll be sure to take you up on your offer though, should I create a character in there. Thanks a lot for the info as well!

It's ok. You can achieve goals on either server X3

Sapha is popular for criticals, while Nab is more for attack. There are some new armors, but I'm returning too, so wouldn't know the optimal new armors (if any).

Well hopefully WP will consider the option to provide more customization with the sprites through those JRo sprites in the future. XD

One can hope :D

Yeah, I'm in Chaos. But if you ever want to hang around, don't hesitate to ask!

Best of luck on your search for MVP Greatness!
