as title says: I have a sorc that I transfer from an old alt account so I plan on lvling it in gold scarabs. What gear would I need to use with it?
How does Surivial set (+10 survival rod[1]and +9 on the rest, Laphin Set(+15 laphin and +9 on the rest), Tsod Set (spell11 on the tsod and +9 skull cap) compare and which one is the best for lvling up.
addition to gears above, I have a gtb to utilize and 2x king spirit ring.

I think La'cryma Stick and Pororoca Shoes combo should work well there. Gold scarabas are all boss. So, you could use Celine Ribbon and Celine Broach combo. But, you will have longer cool time on Diamond Dust comparing to 2xSpirit King's Ring.

The thing is Agni dies really quick unless you have pain killer Gene with you. Psychic wave has long cool time. I used to farm cards with fire pwave there. But, I bet Diamond Dust works better now a days.

Diamond Dust does work better. It actually 1 shots them wearing 2x Spirit King Rings, at least at level 175.

so, lacryma stick combo is good enough for gold scarabs? I'm hoping to 1 shot them at lvl 150, is that possible? stats atm are 120int/dex,80 vit.As far as gears goes...I can buy whichever gear that I'm missing

Might be possible with GTB Gaia Shield, Scaraba/Int3 Spirit King Rings, +8~10 Underneath Shadow Armor, and Blessing Scrolls. I currently run the following:
130 base Int
Miracle Elixir
+20 Int food
+12 Celine [Blue Lichtern]
Sunglasses [Giearth]
Mob Scarf
+11 Flattery [Agav] [Int 2+1]
+15 La'cryma Stick [2x Pinguicula]
+12 Immune Shield [GTB]
+10 Fallen Angel Wing [RG Randel] - Just saves Dex food, Int GFSS (or FAW) with Antique Book works fine and is exactly what I used to use
+7 Pororoca Shoes
2x Spirit King's Ring [Elvira]
Creative Convention Hat
+1 Int mid
+30 Magical set
+9 Insecticide Shoes
I don't use Kaahi either since it's fairly safe when 1 shotting.
