Does Pyroclastic make an already fire weapon stronger, kinda like Ignition Break Damage buff?

I'm debating whether to use a +12 Red Twin Edge or  +14 Crimson Mace. I have them both.

I guess that Gene doesnt have any skill that increase its damage based on which element you're using, but I would use Crimson mace instead of RTE for Pyroclastic, because the weapon wont break and you wont have to be concerned about FCP to avoid it (even with FCP, if you die, your RTE will break)

Volcanic ash actually increases fire element skills damage, the sad part is that genetic doesn't have any relevant fire element skills that would benefit from it. Crimson mace is the way for pyroclastic.
