So normally the limit is 12, but when doram was first introduced - we were able to transfer an additional character into an account to exceed the limit to 13 characters.

 

If I was to delete a character (either doram or non-doram?), would I still be able to create another character in it's place? Is the "slot unlocked", or would this require a ticket?

If u delete character on extra slot, the slot will be locked again

so if u want to create more characters, u only delete the characters on normal 12 slots, or create on other account under the same email account, then transfer the new characters to the current account

Now iRO accounts (post Doram update) can have up to 12 character slots [link to update here].

 

Under normal means, slot 13 up to 27 are unavailable and can be only achieved now through GM assistance (character transfer VAS). From my understanding, if you delete a character on said slots they will be made unavailable again. If you want to create a new character on that slot then you will have to go through a VAS, as mentioned by yosummer.

Would it possible through a ticket if a GM could slide/swap a character on slot 1-12 with the character on slot 13? Without VAS?

If you are looking to only perform character swap, then you can do that without GM intervention through Kafra item Character Position Change, sold for 500 points.

Though, if you are going to swap then delete while having 13 slots, then that extra slot will be locked after the deletion. This is because the normal max slot on an account is 12.

 

As for the question, inquiring with the GM staff, they do not process such requests right now.
