Five for Friday is a new forum occurrence where you ask questions over the week, and we pick 5 of them to answer on Friday! What plans do you have to keep re:start alive. If there arent, how long do you think it will last?

1) RE:Start had lots of potential, and we've seen the population drop from thousands to a few hundreds... What are your thoughts on this trend, how do you see the future of this server and how do you plan to deal with this whole situation? What's going to change from WP side? Because if nothing changes, the path ahead of us seems pretty clear...

 

2) Are we seeing progress with the duping? Some pretty disturbing screenshots and rumours going around that I know you've become aware of... any comments?

 

3) Why is Abyss Lake still the way it is and nothing was made different on Odin Temple? How much more obvious does it have to be that if other dungeons give less experience than bio2 and the mobs are stronger/harder to kill, they won't be reasonable leveling places? I do not ask for a bio2 nerf, only for exp increase on other places. Hunting Boards are a great start, but not enough!

 

Nonetheless, please keep trying to be more transparent and improving the communication with the players! Makes all the difference ^-^

What would you consider the minimal viable population for a server?

Arr there any plans of account migration to another ro provider for the european users (like how phro migrated into thor)?

How do you feel about the company's refusal to comply with European Data Protection laws being the end of your server? Did you enjoy Re:Start for how it lasted? Do you feel like this is a pretty sour note to end on?

How will you deal with European accounts? Will you only deny access for European users or will those accounts be blocked or even deleted?

Im asking because our guild storage is on one of my accs and even if I can't play anymore I still want my guildmates to have access to this acc.

Let's face it. This data policy thing,this isn't the first time you had issues with it. You guys ran into this EU data policy thing about 2yrs ago or so. You had 2yrs to fix and face this issue, why didn't you guys bother doing anything? You guys were pretty much aware of this situation. The new law is just pretty much the last push.

Hmm.. My most poignant questions would be how are you going to deal with European accounts? IP Blocking so that if they choose they can still access the game via a VPN such as VirtualShield, or some other way?

Also, what are your plans with the Re:start server? You said there have been no plans to shutter it but with it losing a part of its potential userbase due to the EU closing are there going to be any further attempts to attract players?

How can You stay so normal after know that all ur RO life will be destroyed?

I'm sure that a ot of people will be several prejudiced with depression, anxiety, pain, etc. 

I'm only a student, but if I'm a worker, sure I might fight at tribunal, atleast to receive 2 years WPE that I spent. 

 

I know it's not a CM guilty but GRAVITY....

I'm probably more crushed than the average player. I'm having to unpick my entire guild's life over 15 years of play. We don't know what we're going to do. I hope they hang around on discord.

 

Losing RO is less hurtful than losing the community that comes with it.

FoF: was the decision to block the EU made simply because updating your data protection to comply was more expensive than the entire EU population's spending on the game or was it literally something you CAN'T do for some reason - and if so, what is it?
