Hi guys,

 

I need advice on Sura leveling.

I've read all recent posts on this forum, also read the wiki, but it seems most information is outdated.

I just need to know some basic info:

 

1) what is the most effective build for leveling nowadays?

 

2) what is the cheapest build for leveling?

 

3) which piece of gear/weapon is game changing for both said builds? (like Enforcer Shoes is for MA GX)

 

I know that Sura isnt a cheap class, but I really like it and I want to give it a try.

My Sura is at lvl 100 (miscalculated the last bounty exp by 16k >.<) so I cant reset skills freely to test things out. I dont have spent my Sura skill points yet to not mess it up.

I already have some good equips from other classes, like Mob, PDM, +9Vana, +9HBP, and I can afford some other equips if needed, but not too much expensive.

My current stats build comes from Agi combo Champ, so take it in consideration as well.

Sell your gears and shelf your Sura til they implement the Devil's Hand. It's not worth levelling a Sura right now. No one wants you in their party.

(1) Aspd +10%.
(2) Cast cannot be interrupted.
(3) Reduce the fixed cast time of Lion's Howl by 100%.
(4) Increase the damage of Lion's Howl by 20%.
(5) If upgrade level is +7 or higher, increase attack speed by an addtional +5%, increase the damage of Lion's Howl by an additional +30%.
(6) If upgrade level is +9 or higher, increase attack speed by an addtional +5%, increase the damage of Lion's Howl by an additional +50%.

Is lion's howl considered ranged?

i can tell what you shouldn't do, which is bother with having rising dragon early on and get stuck at lv 130 like i did.

Thats a nice piece of gear.

Not too much skill prerequisites, job22 is enough to get it working. Hope they implement it soon.

But, since it requires LR to reduce cast, I think I can start playing with it for now, right?

Also, I still need a good weapon to play along, for wtv build, is Spartacus still the best weapon overall?

it's safe to say. you gona be disappointed when it arrived.
Iro probably has a 1 sec FCT or something to spice things up.

You can for the lul I guess. LR is not a bad way to level, but I don't think it's worth it since you'll have to get a +10 or above Bio5 headgear which will cost you lots. Dmg sucks without the Bio5 headgear.

The way I leveled to 170 on my sura is through Lightning Ride.

+9 rideword hat, -> +9 Flappy wing for NCT

+9 Evil Dragon Armor

+9 Double Malicious Carga then to +9 Malicious Thanatos Hammer or +12 Double Rampage Blaster Robot Arm if you want to one shot and you're fine with using Potions.

+9 Str Temp Boots with Lucky Day or Dex boots (if you have 120 dex)

+9 FAW 4/3/3 EA w/ Shooter or +9 Immune Backpack to +9 Deviling Etrans for 150+ leveling

Tengu Mask + Scroll

+12 Mad Bunny

2x Keraunos optional 2x gold scaraba cards

 

Get energy gain LR -> Gain energy so when you mob you wont need to cast zen as much. 

I used this setup at NCT, did not use any potions at all, died couple of time because snapping to dead spots.

I really like ^ the above post. Great options for leveling and I don't think you should shelve a sura until gravity decides to possibly implement one equip. Leveling it fairly easy, and with the gears dnz posted you won't use a ton of supplies at all.

Exactly why we need to implement the Devil's Hand asap. The least they can do to help Suras help themselves and others is to implement the Devil's Hand. Maybe Suras will finally be useful in bio turn-ins now instead of mindlessly leeching everyone in which they have been doing since 2010.
