I tested it again, changing ip didnt change it this time.

 

Which as I said before is complete bs since now we can't check out transaction history to verify the refunds. (which, btw, I have yet to receive.)

Meanwhile... 3 accounts registered in Europe and I can see the power up page and transaction history just fine /hmm

Note: I've not applied for a refund because I haven't actually spent any money in the refund period - maybe it's related to that and they've locked down the affected ones? Which would be extremely dumb, but it's WP, so who knows :v

Edit: I also still seem to be able to buy WPE, considering I get far enough to be redirected to paypal, lmao.

I seem to get "Session Expired" as a popup then redirected to the homepage, even if already logged into my account.

At least I have a record of my purchase as an email from PayPal and probably in my PayPal activity history.

The problem I have is I don't know which WP account my xsolla (via paypal) transactions are tied to. So I need to check or have faith that WP will do the right thing (lmfao no)

Okay, I'm getting really desperate now.

 

1. What's going to happen to accounts made in the EU?

 

2. What about accounts made outside of the EU, but characters made in the EU?

 

3. Will we have access to the accounts again once we're out of the EU?

 

4. Do I have to move out allllll my items from all accounts? Come to think of it, I don't have anywhere else to move them to cuz any accounts created now, will be made in the EU. -_-

are EU RO accounts (not the WP accounts with the personal info etc) going to be deleted?
 

also, can we at least access our WPE (which was purchased before the refund period) to gift to our friends/or spend? The ban is not in effect yet, why are we blocked from doing this?

What should we do if our accounts are incorrectly flagged as from Europe?

All European accounts will be inaccessible. If your account is not European account, please let us know via e-mail.

How do we know if we are incorrectly flagged or not?

I've send a ticket to check the origin of the account but was informed that that information is confidential.

Will they only know once after 25th May and then send you an email of they are incorrectly flagged? Will the data still be there?

You can ask also to a your US friend to make an account for you and then use VPN to play.

But to be honest, after that a game kicked you out after more than 14 years the joy to play is pretty few...at least for me.XD

 

OK, I quit a year ago, I just continued as quest writer and NPC illustrator in Fungineering section, and connect in game just to test NPC illustrations  wasn't a funny moment, so I won't miss iRO, I guess.

But I assume that for other players the matter could be different, so a VPN game could be the only chance that they have to continue to play their favorite game.

I love how that first answer basically doesn't actually answer anything at all.

You'd think "will our accounts actually be deleted?" would be a simple yes or no answer.

If you mean server, I agree.

If you mean game, there are a lot of other and better options out there than this mismanaged piece of crap :v

How did this take 3,5 weeks to get clarified and written up? It is 2 answers, one which doesn't get to the point and another one which gets re-used for every single other question. A giant finger to anyone who had a concern, moved in the past 16 years or had an account created in the wrong region for whatever reason.
I get more work done between pushing the button on the coffee machine, and taking a seat at my desk.
Gravity Co should consider hiring me, or rather, please don't.

"without using the word terminated" and then the 'answer' has "terminating" in it.

x-x Sounds like maybe they are just getting rid of personal info for the account and deleting that? But maybe the character still remains? Kinda a great workaround to answer a question by not answering it..

Nope, it says that accounts will be made inaccessible, not deleted. They are keeping as much information as the US law allows them to.

I don't know why they're bothered about deleting info, the law isn't retroactive.

Inaccessible can mean locked or deleted though. I really hope they will just lock accounts making them inaccessible.
