Hi, I have been attempting to play RE:start but it has yet to workout.  I get the "cannot init d3d or grf file has problem" if I change the resolution to a higher setting with setup or its on a lower resolution and it works BUT the window is soo tiny the game is unplayable.  I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, checking the "run as administrator" in the compatibility tab on every file along the way, and even tried changing the windows compatability mode to windows 8 (idk if that was even the right  idea) Any help with this would be very appreciated! Thanks

Hello,

This is a video related sitting.

What is your OS?

Please ensure and try the following:

  • The game client must be off before doing any changes to Setup.exe.
  • Setup.exe is always launched as an admin.
  • Graphic Setting should have a selected graphic model, you may try each of them to test at a time.
  • Screen size must be within the allowed measures, RO is not compatible with higher resolutions.
  • Switch between Full and Windowed Screen Mode.
  • For the compatibility issue, use Run compatibility troubleshooter found at Compatibility Tap of Setup.exe properties.
  • Try Override high DPI scaling behavior found at the same location of the above.

It was either checking the "Override DPI scaling behavior" or changing the Graphic Setting to a graphic model.
