Realy guys...

To reduce inflation you must put something that ALL players, or at last the majority, will want. So they will pay and don't mind for the price.

Put a very mobbed map that consumes zeny to enter for every entrance and have a quest with turn in monsters for every 50 monsters, so everybody will have to exit and re enter a lot of times. Everyone wants a good place to level with a good exp return quest, so Zeny will BURN. So easy.

Now, costumes? That can't be enchanted? That are not permanent?

I've never used ONE costume in my life. And would only if the new enchant stones come. Now mind the number of players, that like me, just use equipments that IMPROVE their characters, not "visual fashion" itens.

I respect those who like it. But this is a event for a selected minority, and will have low, to no, effect in the server, on player base happiness, or inflation.

Let's be adults and administrate this better.
If it's to break the server with bad content just close this server and stop doing kid things.

I have to stop caring about others and just watch they breaking their own legs. Even with ALL THE FEEDBACK that this game community gives, reporting that you are doing wrong, you still try to make them "eat" things by force.
You just forget that if your player base don't like what you are doing they will leave. And if they leave there won't be any cash shop money. If there is no money this trash closes. If this trash closes everybody is on street.

I like this idea  maybe we need to appeal to the new players who don't have much starting off and can participate in in-game events such as this one rather than focus on old players who have zeny to blow. I say make the zeny cost lower!

20m or 25 KP to enter Bio 4.
50m or 65 KP to enter popular instances such as Sky fortress, Malangdo culvert, Faceworm, etc.
100m to 125 KP enter ET.

500m for one-week VIP + One random OCP’s.
1000m for two-week VIP + Two random OCP’s.
2000m for four-week VIP + Three random OCP’s.

You can also impose tax on zeny held by every character in server. The rich pays more. The poor pays less.

If anything, this NPC should be a permanent edition. However it should cycle on costumes that are available in cash shop. It would let users try them out for a small zeny fee, then they can get one for permanent ownership if they like it.

Holy crap, do you guys actually believe this event is an attempt to combat inflation? People read into things way too much. Just because it costs an amount of zeny doesn't mean they have some misguided expectation that it will have sweeping economic impact. 

 

Its a kawaii hat event. That's all. Not everything is a conspiracy or designed to be multi-functional. It is what it is.

 

You think GRAVITY is going to be able to micromanage an in game economy? If they could, do you think that is actually something you would want?
