I heard they are going to rework with Painkiller and Pyroclastic on the homunculus rebalance patch. Can anyone provide further details such as the new bonuses? I'm trying to decide which one to get later on, but i can't find where to read the details. Or are the other homun s getting significantly better? Thanks.

-2000 flat dmg (afaik) is still not good enough?
I don't remember pyroclastic being buffed a lot since it increases with level (just a flat +25 atk increase compared to the original pyroclastic) Or am I missing something here?

I read somewhere on this board that pyroclastic will no longer break the weapon. Maybe it was someone joking but that's what I read.

⑤ Dieter
→ Pyroclastic: MaxLV is extended (5 → 10) When the state is released, the weapon is no longer damaged.
→ Lava Slide: MaxLV is extended (5 → 10) The maximum range is expanded.

So, summing it up:
Sera:
PK = 1k reduction -> 2k reduction
Dieter:
Pyro = +200 atk -> +225 atk
= weapon breaks -> weapon doesn't break anymore
Did i get it right?

If your Gene has high ATK/eATK then get a Sera for the extra Defense.
If your Gene has low ATK/eATK then get a Dieter for Pyro.
Easy peasy.

Sera's Pain Killer change won't affect much. With the standard reductions, most monsters will deal less than 1k damage on their normal attacks and multiple thousands of damage with their skills. Going from 1k -> 2k won't help you tank skills any better and will be redundant for normal attacks.

That is exactly why i'm asking the details. Because if one of them is a lot better after the rebalancing and the other one is just "meh" then i will just go with the better one then build my gears to complement it.
Afterall we only get to keep one homun >.<

That having been said, you should have at least one Gene with a Sera for solo MvPing/PvMing. It is by far the best damage reduction available.
