Do you guys know how to defeat Coelacanth on Malangdo Culvert? Using water armor gets me killed by LoV, not using it gets me killed by water ball.

 

 

Lure the Coelacanth (red dot) to the south of the wall marked in blue, stand on the opposite side (green dot) and throw bombs. If it starts moving towards you, just run for it and lure it there again. Use your Homunculus to lure so you don't get JTed to the afterlife.

 

I know this works because I used to do it long ago with really bad gear.

So... for cost wise, since acid bomb set is expensive now, do you really earn a lot from FW Instance?

OP, estimated how many sets of acid bomb you use per run?

It’s about 105k per acid bomb sets now, and about 900k/EMB, one run most likely give 4 nonslotted and 2 slotted; that’s about 30m Zeny worth per run.

My GX yield pretty good as I getting familiar with th Queen, less token needed; some time like 10 runs or even 20 runs per token.

Token costs shouldn't really factor in to anything either. Unless you die more than 10 times a day. Since you can get the VIP ones for free.
 

In fact its cheaper to die and token than to use a yggberry. By far.

I can't handle even the normal mobs in hard mode yet, but thanks anyways. I'll remember that when I get there.

 

It takes about 20 ABs to take down a Dark Faceworm, or around half of what a skin is worth. I only use full AB to take down the first one, since its heals diminish CC to almost 0 net dps. Second and third are easily full CC spam with water and fire armor, respectively. Fourth is usually hit-and-run CC until I lose too much patience (and tokens) by getting trapped in the poison mist and dying too much. I haven't managed to defeat the queen yet so no idea how much that one takes in resources, though I certainly have wasted plenty in trying.

Most wasteful use of ABs so far was taking down Charleston with full AB spending 10m worth of them and realizing I had just made like 3m out of that lul. Only CC from now on.

 

Do you think one could farm FW with GX with full eden gears? Maybe with just a Vana+9 and 200-300m worth of gear?

 

I don't use any tokens other than the VIP ones. Yggs I sell rather than buy. I rely on ranked whites + syringe and it's fast and cheap enough.

Start slowy and be patient, that mean your current gear is not efficient enough so u don't get max profit from the instance, for now better focus on 16.1 quest and selling flattery robe or try your luck by enchanting it ...

 

for GX u need atleast a leech gear, and can deal around 30k damage with RC for faceworm queen .. or if you can't kill the queen then just finish the instance after kill 4 dark faceworms for now .. it still a good money

Yeah. I'm going to do the kitchen quests (the only ones quick enough it seems) with my mech, wl, ab, rebel and doram as well. It is unfortunate that you can't put the tokens in storage, but oh well.

Only the gene can clear the instance though. Mech comes close but still struggles, takes forever with 5k knuckle boost and I can only carry so many pots. I might respec my Doram into picky peck since that seems to do better in instances.

I do have a vanargand helm, I hope that cuts it. That enriched hammer can't come soon enough.

Bijou is pretty easy in all jobs from lvl 100. Use Ygg Leaf to IK Amdarais. For Bijou you can tank it with Evil Druid armor and let the NPCs kill it for you.

The castle quests seem to be time-inefficient in comparison to Faceworm with the exception of the spice and turkey quests. However, I've recently realized that the plate quest and the instance could be done in a party to greatly improved efficiency, so I'm considering the possibility of raising an army of babies to do them with. Has anyone tried that? Which class do you guys think is the easiest to get into 100+ as far as class change chores go?

Gx is gonna be a lot easier and cheaper to do FW and many other instances, but not with just eden gear.

I would say leech gear is more important than enforcer, it's a nice gear, but FW was totally doable b4 this thing even came out. 

Since u have eda already, it's a pretty nice start. Consider getting a thana katar or vana or any other things that help u leech more. Use hallu walk on the water worm so u take way less dmg. But u still need to get an undead / poison armor for gx. 

I haven't done FW on gene for a long time becasue I'm lazy to spam cc and it also costs more consumables. But it's the same way to deal with queen. Try to glitch her, if u fail, the moment u see her change into other element, run as fast as u can and wait off-screen until you can pull her to the edge again when she's neutral.

Just google how to bug the queen into normal form. your gears has no problem solo the face worm but it make take time. You gear I would assume 30mins to finish the faceworm run.

 

remenber to bring a waterproof potion at the second map.
