Valkyrie's Drop should only BUFF AB class only.

 

and Devil's Hand should only BUFF Sura class only. 

 

 

I agree and this should also apply to many other OCP items that have come out. It seems that all of the accessories are usable by every class, even if its illogical. Too many items are described for one class but heavily used by others. Mechanic suffers a lot from this because their S tier items are S+ tier on other classes.

 

I can't explain why anything other than AB should use an accessory that boosts ME damage. Its not the biggest change ever, like if someone really needs FCT reduction and sacrifice a damage accessory, Valk Drop would work. Only other thing I can see it being useful on is SC or RG. I don't think its game changing, but its really stupid. I am very much not a fan of making these obviously class-specific gears usable by all.

 

The first time I really noticed this was with Giants Protection. It was a great gear for Mechanics, but people quickly discovered that the ATK bonus was worth getting, regardless of the HSCR combo the item includes in its description. But some others like Emerald Ring / Earring, Sapphire Wrist, and Keraunos are other examples.

It's supposed to be a Sura's only item. I guess they need money.

have you guys tried Lion's Howl?
it's melee right, range modifier doesn't work on it.
within my reach, the damage is about half of Gene's CC,
to be honest, I don't think it's even strong or comparable to be used for PvM farming
it's just a leveling gear.

now you further nerf it for some -_-ty reason I don't understand.
do you expect people to pay to get that leveling gear at S/Rare rank?

yes, I understand that the 100% def bypass is strong especially we didn't have any headgear that provides that
and on your side you wish to increase the value of the OCP, getting more people to spend on this.
so you turn this whole thing to "benefit" every other class. and attempt to "balance"
end of the day, sura's still the weaker class for PvM. not fun at all.
thanks. is the game dying because of the gamers? no.

Absolutely agreed. Lion's Howl tickles no matter how good your gears may be. Exactly why are they making a Sura's specific headgear available to all classes anyway? Either make it available to Sura only or scrap it. I want this item more badly than anyone but making it available to other classes is beyond broken. Imagine a GX or a Doram wearing this item. Nothing will stand a chance.

 

Making this item available to all classes is an obviously sign that they need the dollar dollar bills ya'll.

0 box. since it's all crap inside.

so much of your "balance" 
guess who's gonna be super overpowered now.
physical dorams. now that they can keep their accessories and reach 100% def bypass
i'll like to see how you explain your "balancing" to those WoE gamers
that pester you everyday about WoE improvement

Devil's Hand FCT reduction reduced to 50%

you halve it's effect for lion's howl and grant it to other classes too?  :hmm:

-50% fixed cast is redundant with other gears/buffs already in game;

 

how about -0.5 sec fixed cast, sura only; if lightning ride is maxed, -50% variable cast to the 4 relevant skills (only 3 skills really, since zen has no variable cast), and additional -0.5 sec fixed cast (to make up for the zen not being affected);

simplest way to roughly mimic its intended effect really;

surely warpportal knows about minute differences between iRO and jRO cast times right?

 

otherwise, hey maybe as others say, -100% fixed cast, sura only

 

yes to restricting item effects to their intended classes; no to ignorant decisions;

yea, funny how other classes aren't even supposed to get any fixed cast reduction effect from the hat;

 

surely they can easily restrict effects by class even if they can't restrict fixed cast effects to specific skills

Can you check a scrip for a book of the sun god too.I think it has somethings wrong at +10 it should use lv5 meteo but it just lv3

 

Dunno what you did wrong, but I just tested it and at +10 it did a level 5 meteor. That's 4 Meteors @ 3 hits per one.

Seriously, the exclusivity its what make this item worth.

+Pro: now everybody can use it. No more using the effin wind spirit for my sorc.
-Cons: every job will begin to use it. And the price will rise. Lucky that I bought 2 for my ME AB

Fixed cast time is a fairly unreducable modifier that limits your ability to re-cast skills rapidly. No matter how quickly you cast with Dex and Int or other Variable Cast modifiers, your cast bar will always take longer to completed because of fixed cast time.

 

Additionally, fixed cast time does not reduce the same way that variable cast time does. It takes your highest fixed cast time modifier and applies that, it ignores any smaller fixed cast bonuses you might have.

 

There are ways to reduce it, like Sacrament buff from AB, Heat Barrel (if you are a Rebel) or Celine Set if you are a Mage Class, or Temporal Dex Boots. Valk Drop makes it so you won't need to have an AB around to keep you buffed up. Its more for solo players.

 

While there are numerous ways to get -50% Fixed Cast time, it really shouldn't be something to get so easily. That said, there aren't many classes that can't get the same amount of fixed cast time in other ways that would even use Valk Drop anyway. Sac RG comes to mind, and maybe we'll see some ME Shadow Chasers now.
