Okay, can anyone explain to me why there are mobs that 1-hit me with 1k+ damage in a map at is for Level 2 Characters?

This is the worst design flaw in a video game I've witnessed first hand.

Probably summoned by a player. Dead Branches summon random monsters and Bloody Branches summon MVP-type monsters. I've always thought branches were the most unbalanced items in the game, but the developers don't seem to think so, hence why they're still around after all these years.

Typically the map south of Prontera is most commonly used to break branches on. Best if you can avoid that area as much as possible.

I would love to get out of Prontera, but likely can't because my character is too weak, so I'm basically forced to level there and get killed 4-5 times a day by these summoned monsters.
Joy.

Regardless, thanks for the reply.
Guess I'm a little less angry b/c its the fault of players and not necessarily the Devs.

Dead Branches are very fun when you want to do something random, you'll see people use 100s of them at once. Offcourse most people intent on killing the monster but you know people...

If the monsters are right on the other side of the portal, using a flywing sold in toolshops(you might have already have some from the training ground). What happens everytime you walk through a portal or teleport, mobs will not attack you for about 3 seconds or until you use any action. Gives you plenty time to observe your surroundings and if needed teleport again. If you're using the teleport skill, press enter and teleport right after/before you arrive at the next location. This makes you "pre cast" the skill in the next location allowing you to teleport again but monsters will not attack.

You're probably thinking all this sounds weird but really keep it in mind for later area, I've seen many people not know any of this then complain about things too hard.

Well other than that maybe ask another player if they can clear the area for you.

Thanks. I will definitely keep that in mind...

But, in the defense of those who may complain "too hard", players shouldn't have to resort to such "loopholes" when traveling from one map to another...
That's bad game design.

well the teleport skill part does seem "oh hey look at this" but the part where monsters don't attack right away seems intended to prevent silly deaths, offcourse I can't prove that.
