Tip: you can cast deluge under yourself using pororoca shoes to give a flat +20% water dmg on enemies. For instance, holy 4 and shadow 4 mobs will receive 20% and 45% respectively of WDB.

I think for general farming DB is better but limiting in some areas. Where as crit/physical has a lot more potential but it is way more expensive.

With physical rk you can do bio5, with DB rk, you can't.

I think this is a pretty good way of looking at stuff.

 

You definitely CAN do bio5 but it's legitimately awful / slow unless you're in a larger party (why bother). 

 

Did you figure out a build / equips yet?

the combo script is on the temporal ring, so double ring should be a must for the crit rk?

 

well, depending of the mob for the armor pierce acc.

The set bonus only applies once, so double rings will not apply the same bonus twice. If you wear two temporal rings with temporal boots speed of light, you get the 30% cast delay reduction as you wear one temporal ring, it wont give 60%.

no, crush strike got nerfed instead. The dmg is not increased by turisus’s 2.5x but rather only a paltry 250% to the mod like frenzy does (8750 to 9000% for example). However, the 3x dmg procs are now only 2x procs.

Luckily, 2x proc on CS still deletes most non-instance mvps, especially since asir rune also adds 70 atk

But isnt DB more expensive because of kiel and other BiS? When the DB hat comes, how much advantage will one-piece kiel users have over non-mvp RKs?

 

Meanwhile, for physical RKs, are there other more expensive BiS gears other than lindy hop and bio5 hat?

 

Point is, won't a fully-geared physical RK still be cheaper than a fully-geared DB RK?

You can achieve 90% after cast delay without Kiel easily thanks to OCP. 100% is not really needed due to the 0.2 seconds global delay.

Top: Red Baby Dragon Hat
Mid: New wave sunglasses = 10%
Lower: Any
Armor: Med scrub = 10%
Weap: Taw Goo Lyon = 20%
Garment: Skin of Gwibber = 10%~12% depends on stats.
SOL (Speed of Light) enchanted Temp boots + Temp ring combo = 30%
PDM = 6~8% depending on your stats or any 10% after cast delay garment will work.

I was actually thinking of something like letting go of some acd reduction gears for more damage if kiel is available. There has to be some huge advantage to spending x billions of zeny for getting that kiel despite 90% reduction being easily achievable nowadays. Or is kiel a little bit less valuable now with those ocp gears?

one is still super valuable. It means you do not miss out on any damage items for your after cast delay. In fact, you can still keep two and use runaway magic in your temporal boots. This gives you 40INT and 10% SP, which is again more damage and cast speed than those without.

 

OCP bridges the gap between casual and MVP equipments, but it does not fully replace it. If we compare a year ago, DB RK without mvp= plebs while DB RK with MVP= god.

 

Now its just middle class vs upper class.

 

Also, physical RK can still use super expensive MVP cards. It's just that right from the start they are not so tilted like DB RK where you are non-functional without MVP last time. It means you can live without those and still be great.

 

EG: violent coelacanth card for headgear, thanatos card for weapon, amdarais card for armour, gloom card for valk. You get the drift.

But would those MVP cards give as much value to a physical RK as one piece of kiel would to a DB RK? From what I understand so far, adding one kiel to a DB RK drastically boosts the capabilities of a DB RK - even with all the available ocp gears. But would those physical RK high end gears/cards give as much value or are they even cost-effective as a kiel to a DB?RK?

 

DB RK just seem to be heavily limited (because of its element) even with kiel and doesn't make it more cost-effective than a physical RK that can farm bio5 without having to buy any mvp card.

that's what i mean lol. physical RK don't need the mvps unlike DB RKs, especially in the past. You can still get them, but they aren't drastic improvements.

 

Right now OCP has made DB RKs playable without the MVPs though.
